    Lots of questions!

    1. how did you know your twins were ready to potty train?
    2. if your twins didn't tell you they had to "potty" b/c they could sit around with a poopy diaper all day, how did PT go for you?
    3. did you use the big potty while the little ones use their potty?
    4. did you teach one baby at a time or both? and how did that go?
    5. the same day you started PT, did you start using pull ups?
    6. what about to sleep in? diapers or pull ups?
7 my girls are still in cribs, will this be a problem?

so this is all I have for now...I just went out and bought 2 baby bjorn potty chairs with pull ups but scared to even start! Any tips?

edited: to explain #2....my girls know "poopy" but they dont tell us when they go. They go hide, poop, then can run around for hours if we let them. It's only when we ask them "did you poopy" is when they want to be changed...

    1. how did you know your twins were ready to potty train?
We Pre potty trained...where we talked about it. Are you wet? Are You Dry? After some time of the questions, They would start telling me. I also teach them to get dressed during this time. What good is potty training if they can't get their own pants up and down! I also sit my kids on the potty before bath time. I make sure they can produce on demand like that before I ever try REAL potty training. Some other good signs are they can stay dry for long periods of time like nap time or ever overnight.

    Can't help with #2

    3. did you use the big potty while the little ones use their potty?
With my daughter she sat while I sat. But she ws so tiny at 26 months she could not get up on the potty. WIth my boys they all trained on the big potty but facing backwards for more stability. They can hold the back of the toliet if needed.

    4. did you teach one baby at a time or both? and how did that go?
With my twins one is ready now and the other is not so I will do them separate.

    5. the same day you started PT, did you start using pull ups?
When I potty train we go naked for 1-2 days then use underwear. I believe they need to feel that wet sensation. I try to use pull ups as little as possible. They do not help them learn because they are too much like a diaper. But I will use them on long trips when I do not want an accident.

    6. what about to sleep in? diapers or pull ups?
To sleep in we usually did diapers until they could stay dry in a diaper all night. So far 2 of my kids trained day and night at the same time. One son trained nightime 6 months after training in the day. The twins we are still working on.

7 my girls are still in cribs, will this be a problem?
I have always had mine out of cribs

    1. how did you know your twins were ready to potty train? usually they will not want to wear a diaper, seem interested in what you are doing in the potty, so interest in the actual potty
    2. if your twins didn't tell you they had to "potty" b/c they could sit around with a poopy diaper all day, how did PT go for you? I waited to PT my son because of that very same problem. Sometimes you have to wait til THEY know what is going on!
    3. did you use the big potty while the little ones use their potty? yes, and I quickly switched him to the toilet with a seat because I don't like the "bed pan" factor.
    4. did you teach one baby at a time or both? and how did that go? can't help there
    5. the same day you started PT, did you start using pull ups? we used them sparingly
    6. what about to sleep in? diapers or pull ups? pull ups for night time, but only for two weeks
7 my girls are still in cribs, will this be a problem? my son was in a bed, so he was able to get out and use the toilet at night when he needed it, so maybe it will be a problem.

    Good luck Angie!

Thanks ladies! I talked to a friend of mine that has 7 kids (all singletons) in detail and she doesn't feel they are 100% ready. They are showing signs but not "there" yet. So we will wait but thank you for your replies! I'm sure they will be helpful!
