i was wondering if any of you moms here used a postpartum support belt to help get back into shape. if you used one, did you see the desired results and how soon? and what belt did you use? thank you

I bought the prenatal cradle when I was about 28wks and wore it once, it did seem to help my back but it was just generally uncomfortable to wear. More specifically it wasn't very comfortable under my clothes, however, I had a friend who swore by it! Sorry for the conflicting data! I found that dansko shoes helped a lot though w/back issues, I always wore them to work for 12 hr hospital shifts!

I purchased one, and it definitely seemed to help my stomach go back down (plus, my stomach was very tender for a few weeks, and it seemed to help with the soreness a bit).

I had a Tauts brand (www.babushbaby.com), but would recommend you try another brand. It worked well enough, but the elastic is covered in a satiny fabric that twists about and the result is rather uncomfortable...I think one that is just elastic would be much better.

I liked mine - I don't think it helped my tummy go down, but definitely helped with the pain (c-section)

I found the Bella Band I used early in the pg was really good for the 1st few weeks smoothing things out & allowing me to wear clothes that were still too tight.

I bought the Medela band/belt, but found the Bella Bands much more comfortable and very effective.

SORRY GIRLS....CAN you tell how tired I was...writing about prenatal cradle instead of a postartum belt!!! HA HA I just realized!!! Anyway, I did wear an
abdominal binder and/or a Tummy support "girdle" that I found at target. I felt like they both helped a lot in terms of fitting into clothing and getting rid of water weight/ swelling and would highly recommend them. Sorry again about the previous post.

I cant remember which one I used but it was like a girdle. It really helped me get back into my prepregnancy clothes quickly BUT it did not make my stomach muscles go back.
