    Girls,
I always forget to ask this questions since my u/s
I was told that one baby has the anterior placenta and another one is posterior.
but they never explain if this is bad or good.

So which one is better. I read that posterior is better, but does it mean I will have some complications with baby with anterior placenta?

    Thank you in advance.

Amelia's placenta was posterior and the base of it was at the bottom of my left side. Lily's placenta was anterior and she was attached at the top of my right side. All it meant was that I really could only feel Lily kick, I didn't feel Amelia a whole lot when I was pregnant. That's why they got the names they got - I wanted the name Lily for the baby who I felt like I knew. I think it's a good thing to have one posterior and one anterior b/c then they are not in each other's way for getting nutrients.

I don't think that means you'll have complications, I had a complication-free pregnancy and vaginal delivery.

What she said. Mine were that way. One in front - one in back. It meant that I didn't feel movement until 20 weeks.

Just chiming in. I had one in front and one in back also. I too was able to have a vaginal delivery and I agree that its nice for the placentas to each have their own 'space'.

Had the same - one in front, one in back. No complications at all. besides the movement issues, I think the anterior can get in the way if you're doing 3D. Not a big deal.

same situation here, the only impact it's had on me was delayed movement (about 22w), but now at 33w, both are wiggle worms and i feel everything.

    Thank you very much, girls.
At least it explin me why I still don't feel them.
Actually today I thought that I feel th baby A again I think it is movement but I feel it only from my right bottom side where the baby a is located and I didn't feel anything around where baby B is. and it is always hard for me to find the hb for baby B. BUT I still manage to do that with my home doppler.

Both of my placentas were in the front. I felt movement at 21wks, but for some reason could feel Baby A better than Baby B. I can think of one possible complication from having an anterior placenta. That is if it's low enough and a c-section is needed, they'd have to cut through it. So bleeding, etc could occur and they have to get the baby out quick.

I think Baby B would be behind the placenta as it was sometimes hard to find her h/b due to the placenta, but I would get it eventually!

I have an anterior placenta, and I just started feeling regular movement finally.. mostly on the sides where the placenta is a little thinner. Sometimes it will make it a little harder to hear the babies' hearts if one of them is turned or something, and I might not feel much movement some days. My doctor said that there will be no complications from it.

my baby a, her placenta is posterior...Baby b's is anterior.. For some reason I was feeling B more than A. Now I feel A more than B. I think that with my growth my B's placenta is on top of her. But I've been feeling them since about 14-15 weeks...
