Post-partum belly support?

    Hi all,

I'm wondering if any of you used a good product to hold in the saggy, flabby belly after delivery?

I used one of those post-partum support belts -- the kind that velcroes -- after having my daughter, but I didn't like how it bunched up in the back.....later, I wore a Bella Band under loose shirts, especially when I nursed in public, because I didn't want the whole world to see my flab. But, that didn't offer much support, just coverage.

I'm not talking about a hardcore corset-type thing -- I did see the post a few weeks ago about that, and I'll be sure to look into that later (!) -- but just something that offers a bit of support.

I've heard that something like this might help with healing after a C-section, too....

    Thanks for any advice!

I just used what the hospital gave me, but it sounds like the one you didn't like--it had velcro and did gather sometimes. I really liked it, it made me feel a lot more "together" after the c-section. Plus a nurse told me to use it night and day as long as I could stand it and it would help with weight loss too.

I think I had the same one you mentioned. I had to wear it to help heal separated stomach muscles. It was brutal through a heatwave in August but it did the trick. I didn't find that it bunched too much, had to pull it down at the back occassionaly. They do come in different sizes, so maybe that's why it was bunching up a lot??

I didn't use one at all - I had a c-section at 38 wks - my belly was so gross for the first 2 weeks I swear it flapped in the wind!! but after that 1st 2weeks - I guess the swelling went down and it wasn't that bad. now almost 4 months later I have a roll but it is not much bigger than my pre-twin pregnancy roll - and I weigh less!! but I think that is due to breastfeeding because I eat like a pig!!
