Post pardum care

After my Vag delivery i knew about the pain down there... BUT this hurts...
I had the babies on the 29th. there is pain when i urinate. Not like a UTI pain like a burning pain from a cut. I know i tore a little bit, But is this normal? should i call the Dr.? I almost dred going to use the bathroom...
Please help..

 

Did they give you one of those squeeze bottles to use when you go to the bathroom. I used to fill mine with warm water and use it as I went to the bathroom to relieve any burning, and afterward to clean up.

 

Try leaning really far forward so that the urine goes straight down into the toilet instead of touching your body. That always helped for me!

 

i also did the squeeze bottle and the leaning forward. they both helped alot.

 

i was also giving something called Demoplast, a numbing spray that I used after I washed and cleaned. Here's what I found online. It looks like it's available OTC

DERMOPLAST rocks! I also used the warm water squeeze bottle every time. I had a 4th degree, a really BAD one, and I dreaded going to the bathroom for months afterward. It could be worse! The urine will make any tearing hurt, not to mention if you had a catheter in, there will be some residual pain from that. The pain should lessen in a few days or so. But, I tell ya, that warm water will really help!

I tore very badly ( excuse mommy brain) right next to were the pee comes out so I would hold the pee as much as I could b/c I cried ever singel time I used the potty.... What i did that helps we Dermoplast like crazy before I used the bathroom and then used the bottle of warm water while going.. this was the only thing that helped...OH and DRINK TONS OF WATER.... it will dilute your urine and it wont burn as much

 

I also tore and loved the water bottle, Dermaplast and Tucks Pads.

 

Man, I hear ya! I tore alot w/ DS#1... I agree with all the posts! The water bottle, while leaning forward, with some dermoplast afterwards!!

 

Yes, the water bottle (had to be warm water) and dermoplast were both musts.
