    Hi ladies,

Ok so I have an OB appointment tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. so I will ask and double check, but until them I'm at home worrying about this...

The last day or so my underwear have been really damp. Nothing coloured or mucousy, but it is definitely wet (though not soaking, just enough to make my panties and yoga pants damp) and it has a smell to it. Not a bad smell, almost a pleasant smell actually. I can't quite describe it. A little bit sweet I guess, it almost remind me of an "after sex" smell if that makes any sense. OMG I'm sorry this post is so TMI! But I need to see if anyone else has had this. It's definitely not trickling down my leg or gushing or anything like that. I just notice my panties being wet and the scent.

Any have any experience with this? Is it just discharge? If so I've never had such liquidy discharge before. Or could it be a really slow amniotic fluid leak? Do you think it's ok to wait til 10 a.m. tomorrow to investigate it?

    Thanks!

I think it's discharge, I used to have that on some days, and I definitely didn't leak, but I would call your doc just in case, not everybody's the same.

Definitely worth a mention at your dr appt, but if it helps the nurse that taught our multiples class at the hospital specifically said that amniotic fluid has no smell. I thought that was comforting advice....

Most likely discharge, but make sure you mention it to your OB. I had TONS of discharge during my twin pregnancy, like the entire third trimester! I didn't have it in my first pregnancy either, so it worried me too! But, it is supposedly quite normal.

So, I had my appt with the OB this morning, and he was not overly concerned. He said that if it was amniotic fluid (any amount to be worried about at least) that it would be more of a "flow" and I would be chaning undies and/or pants several times a day. He said that what I was describing sounded to him like discharge and/or vaginal "sweat". He basically said that with all of the extra hormones and added pressure on that part of my body that it's normal for it to be secreting fluid and for me to be damp all of the time.

Not loving it, but glad to know that it's nothing to worry about!

i had that around 25 weeks and i was like convineced it was fluid bc it was just like clear liquid. They did the test and it wasnt amniotic fluid, and i have had it ever since, it only gets worse! They said its most likely cervical fluid from the pressure which isnt dangerous

So glad you shared your TMI! My discharge has been increasing and increasing, but there is also a lack of intimacy, if you kwim....i had this with the singletons also, but i worry more with this one....and i DO feel like i should be changing undies throughout the day--instead, go with pantiliners!! If you have to move up to pads, i may worry more and mention it again........
