I had an appointment today. 34 weeks. My bp has been slowly going up for about 3 weeks now. Today it was 138/89. It stays right around there, but several times a day just for a little bit it will go up higher.(usually at night)

I have had a trace of protein in my urine the whole pregnancy well today it was more. I think it was inbetween a + & ++

My feet are very very swollen and i cant tell about my hands/feet bc ive gained so much weight, but my dr told me my face looked puffy,

Anyways im doing a 24hr urine now and will take it back in tomorrow afternoon and I suppose Ill get the results Wed.

Does a + or ++ protein usually mean preeclampsia????

 sorry you have to worry about this. Hopefully they are watching you closely just in case.

They will probably start watching your blood panels, in relation to your liver soon - because that is the suretell sign of pre-e. All of the things you've mentioned can be signs, but not always. The good news is you're far enough along, that hopefully you can deliver with a minimal to no stay in the NICU. Best wishes, keep us posted!

I am in the same exact boat. I went for my weekly NST yesterday. My BP was 143/93 then at one point it went up to 153/101. They did a urine test & blood test and my urine had traces of protein in it. So they have me doing a 24 hour urine also. I started it this morning. When I went to my OB this morning, my BP was 143/100. I have to go back on Wednesday to go over my urine results and to recheck my BP. But they may want to take these babies depending on results. But thank god by Wednesday, I will only be a day away from 36 weeks.

The protein in your urine doesn't mean you definitely have PE, I had a UTI late in my first pregnancy & always had a + for protein from then until I delivered. Apparently it can be caused be other factors as well. Unfortunately your other signs aren't positive, but good luck!
