possible cold?

since my LO woke up this morning they have been congested, sneezing and has had a runny nose.
could this be a cold?

 

Sounds like it could be the start of one.

 

what can i do?

 

You can run a humidifier in their room, use saline and a bulb syringe in their nose, and sleep them elevated. Either elevate the crib mattress or let them sleep in a bouncy or swing. If they are really stuffy or coughing you can take them into a bathroom with a hot shower and let them just hang out in the steam. :hug:

 

Ditto to all those things. You can't give them medicine yet because they are too little, so basically the cold has to run it course naturally.

my favorite is the baby booger getter (aka the bulb syringe) a little suction before eating makes a world of difference...

they are both congested this morning.
i gave them nice warm baths last night and they slept really well. 5 hours and then again for 5 hours. this morning i used the saline and the nasal aspirator but didnt make too much difference.
