Positive Ffn at 29 weeks

    I had a positive Ffn last week at 29 weeks. I was given 2 shots of steroids to help mature the babies lungs in case they come early. I was not dilated at all but have another cervical u/s this week. Dr just put me on modified bed rest and pelvic rest (which we had been on since the first sign of shortening cervix). Anyone else have a positive and make it more than the predicted 2 weeks? My Dr. really wants me to get to 32 weeks at the earliest but obviously I want to get more than that. I have been doing very little, only off the couch when I have to be. Very nervous and not sure what to expect at this point.

    :hug: Momma! I know how scary that is, I had a positive fFN at 24 weeks. Remember, that just because you get a positive fFN, it does NOT mean that you will go into labor within the next 2 weeks. It is actually very inconclusive, and a Positive result doesn't mean much. If you would have gotten a negative fFN, that's when they rely on the test results and there is a 99% you will not deliver in the next 2 weeks. Does that make sense?

    With that being said, I delivered 4 weeks after I had my fFN test done at 28 weeks 1 day. Every day you can keep those babies inside, is 3 days they won't have to be in the NICU. Definitely take it easy, and make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids! Good Luck!!

    I had a positive ffn test exactly two weeks ago and so far so good.

    I had a positive fFn at 30 weeks and delivered at 33 weeks. My cirvix was also starting to thin out a bit, so I had a feel I was not going to make it much longer.

    My cervix has also started to thin. I was at 2.2cm 2 weeks ago. I have another u/s this Fri. I am not dilated externally which I guess is a good sign even though I am thinning with some funneling.
