Poor kiddo

He has my sinuses and allergies! YayyBoooooo.

He had a cold two weekends ago, not a bad one, but he's had some coughing since then. Mostly in the middle of the night, so I run the humidifer and give him honey and he's usually okay, but last night he couldn't stop coughing. So I got up with him and stayed up from 2-3:30. I realized that he had this weird, shiny, deep red, smooth crust on his face around his mouth, then I realized what it was.

It was a combination of snot and blood, liquified by the humidifer, drained down his face, then hardened. Poor guy has my terrible sinuses. I thought he might since he has my allergies and whats better to compound allergy misery, than a terribly draining sinus cavity prone to bleeding!

Of course he's fine this morning and is off at school. I wanted my husband to stay home today from work since he's sick too and take him to the doctor but I suppose that telling someone that you want them to stay home and take the kid to the doctor at 4:30 in the morning is a little incomprehendible.

Update!!

It looks like someone was slaughtered in his bed last night.

He has an appointment at 2:00.

 

My son has the same problem....ugh...Also took after mommy! I have the same problems. Just curious - what did your pedi recommend? We have scheduled an allergist and an ENT appointment, but the appointments aren't until 2 weeks from now. The pedi gave him Nasonex, Zyrtec, and as-needed albuterol nebulizer treatments (also has wheezing going on as well.) It's horrible!!!
