Poor DH made a big mistake

DH managed to get Amy to the potty at exactly the right moment last night and she actually did a BIG poop in the potty! I went over to admire it, and Amy was excitedly telling me about it, and then I looked over her shoulder just in time to see DH flush it down. EEEEKK! Predictably, Amy went berserk about how she wanted to flush it herself, and DH fell over himself trying to apologize, and I tried not to say "WHAT were you thinking???"

Then I had to spend 10 minutes calming Amy down and explaining that Daddy was really sorry that he flushed her poop, it was a big mistake, she will definitely get to flush the next one herself, etc. etc. Poor DH felt awful. If there had been a way to crawl down the potty and haul that poop out again, he would have done it.

 

Oh, give him a hug. We have all done it.

And when the kids were feeling exceptionally devious, they would sneak in and flush the OTHER'S poop before the owner could rightfully flush! Talk about war!!!!

 

My dd is 3 and when he first started potty training this exact thing happened to me--you would have thought we killed his best fried. In hind sight it was pretty funny
