pooping too much?

One of my boys is pooping 3-4 times a day and it is bright yellow and sometimes liquidy. He only poops in the middle of a feeding. Is this normal or should I call the ped.?

 

sounds normal to me. some babies poop more than others. are you BF? you don't want their poop to be black, white, hard (like pebbles). greens and yellows are perfectly normal.

 

Sounds normal to me too, especially if he is breastfed. Breastfed babies often have loosish, yellowish poop & mine often pooped more often than once a day.

 

I am formula feeding with Similac Isomil Advance.

 

Caleb pooped at least 4-5 times a day for the first couple months, but he was BF. My FF girls only did it about 2x/day, and it was brownish/pasty. It can't hurt to ask a nurse at the ped. They're always available to answer questions if you call.

 

I fed my boys EBM and formula and they had the yellow/seedy/runny poop that first 2 months or more. By the end of the third month the boys pooped about 6 x's a day...each. That lasted until well over a year! Your two sound perfectly normal!

 

They sound normal to me as well. My DS earned the nickname Pooh man because he could poo 4-5 times a day (they were FF) but if you are concerned, it cannot hurt to check with your pedi too.
