Both Austin and Miles have not gone for two days (and I just became that mom who is telling embarrassing stories about her kids.. poor kiddies). Anyway.. I can't think of what the cause might be. Both get a bottle of formula every day, but they are getting different formulas, so it seems weird that it would happen to both of them at the same time. I have gone off dairy for Miles' dairy sensitivity, and that is the only change in my diet. They both seem to have a good amount of gas, but there's just nothing else coming out of there... any ideas? When should I be worried?

Do they seem uncomfortable at all? If not I wouldn't worry too much, but you might try a small amount of prune juice to see if that will get things moving.

from what i remember, i think mine would go from every 2-3 days. I don't think it is anything to be worried about unless it has been several days, they have hard, round ball poopies, or if they are in pain trying to go.

Definitely not a worry unless they are acting uncomfortable, or when it comes out it's hard or causes some bleeding in their bum. If I remember right around 3-4 months babies start digesting their food better (both breastmilk and formula) and their daily poops become less predictable.

Just watch out for when they actually do go, at one point mine went only once a week, and when they went oh boy did they go!!

Well it took four days, but both finally went yesterday. And holy crap.. I mean that.. there was a LOT of crap. Huggies are amazing for the tremendous amount of poop they can hold.

Glad they are feeling better ;) Its not uncommon for babies to go days in between BMs especially BF babies.

your alright hun, my niece goes every 8days.
if they seem uncomfortable prune juice/warm water and Vaseline on the bum about 20min after the prune juice is in there little belly's, apply a warm cloth to there bums, watch out though it cleans them out.

I have actually called my Dr. about this exact problem before. They told me to bring him in around 4 to 5 days but, babies can go up to 7 days before they really worry. My Lucas would wait to the day I was going to take him and then take a huge poop.
