Poop-training if totally potty-trained?

We did the 3-day potty training method last month, and it worked great! My girls are 2 years, 9 months old. One has zero issues, the other is totally potty-trained, but won't go poop on either the potty seat or the big toilet. We try to watch for signs that she's going or ready to go, and have caught it a couple times, but it seems she's just afraid to go on the toilet. We tried M&Ms and sticker charts, and those haven't worked for pooping. And I don't think she'd be motivated by "go x number of times, get this toy... etc".

Any tips or experience with this? Thanks so much! :)

For us, I just had to wait until he was ready. My DS was pee trained over the summer at 3 1/2 but getting him to poop was a MAJOR issue for him. He would totally freak out ever time he had a BM. So as hard as it was, I just let him poop in his pull up and stressed that he could not wear underwear like his brother until he pooped on the potty. It took 3 long months but he's finally 100% trained.

For me, it was just not worth the stress of trying to "make" him go. I knew sooner or later he would so I just let him do it in his own time.

My DDs have been PT'd since last March, and one DD still has her BMs in a pull-up. She goes and gets her own pull-up and puts it on, and just asks for us to change her. I read on here extensively about it, and asked my pedi, and all agree, do not pressure them or they'll hold it in and cause big problems. My DD is afraid to go on the potty, so you can't bribe or pressure her into it (I've promised her a "poopy party" with cake, decorations, and guests!). I tell her that when she's ready, she can go on the potty just like Mommy, Daddy and Sister, and as I recently read here, tell her that she'll get tired of the pull-ups one day. The LAST thing I want is a constipation issue, so I'm letting her have her BMs the way she wants to.

I do take her pull-up and dump the poo in the toilet and let her flush it and say, "Great! Poo goes in the potty." in a happy tone. Also, my pedi suggested to have her go next to the potty, so she associates the two. I tell her to go find her froggy potty and take it with her to poo, as he likes to be with her. She does that sometimes.

This was totally my Sarah. She was the first to go to the potty and pee, and was totally pee trained, but refused to poop in the potty. It literally took her another 6 months to poop. But I did not force the issue. We just kept praising allison and giving Allison stickers for going, and eventually Sarah was brave enough to try. It was incredibly frustrating, but I just couldn't force her to do it since she seem so scared. Once she went, however, it was no turning back and she was so proud. Hang in there, it will come!

this is our situation right now (i know, i'm totally late on the pt'g, but my guys really refused it until they were tall enough to pee standing up in a toilet--never liked the potties). anyways, one of mine it totally pee trained but won't go poop on the potty. they are already in undies as i was never a big fan of pull ups, so what usually happens is he waits for nap or night time when he has a dipe on and then goes. or, if it's not sleeping time and he seems like he needs to go, i put a diaper on him. but we just don't force him to go on the potty cuz i know it won't be of any use. they never liked sitting around and "waiting" for something to come out (they are too active!) so i just try to relax and hope he doesn't get constipated....... best of luck! it's not easy:).
