Tell me what you think of this tub bumper.
We're using the little inflatable tub in the big tub but have to bathe one at a time and want to get them both in there at once, but mine won't stay still or seated half the time and I was afraid they'll bonk their heads.

I don't think it's lame, but I do think you might be better off getting a bath mat like this or this. That way they are less likely to slip in the first place. My lot have bath mats and they walk around in the tub just fine (obviously someone is sat right by the bath supervising them).

I like the idea but the problem I see with this is that thee is no protection on the top edge of the tub and i would assume thats were they would hit there head not so low on the sides...IDK... before mine sat in the tub with nothing theyw ere in bath rings that did keep them seated but those were soon a pain with having to take them in and out to wash them.

They have been going the the tub with nothing to hold them in place for since they were 13-14mold if they do stand I grab their hand and remind them then need to sit. We do this often but they are slowing down.

I agree with the PP that it doesn't cover the parts of the tub where they're most likely to bonk their heads. I also can't imagine my boys leaving it alone and not trying to use it as a step. I'd recommend the bath mat so they have better traction and just keep working on sitting.

Not only do think it's NOT lame, I have it! We just installed it this weekend.

In FY, there is a mom who has 11 month olds and really likes it. She said the bumper is 12in high and 11 ft. long. So for 11 month olds it works. I am not sure for bigger children.

I have had it for 2 years - let me assure you...it IS lame. The suctions come loose & it slides down, the girls put things behind it, it is a MAJOR pain to sanitize, it doesn't cover the top of the tub, & if you don't remove it & totally clean it after every bath you run the risk of getting mold, mildew or fungus on the back of it. I only used it for a month & then took it out - I just have the faucet covered. My girls are pretty rowdy in the tub, but they have never fallen & bonked their heads - we use a big slip proof mat on the bottom (also a pain to clean but much easier than the side guards). Don't waste your money.

Thanks ladies! I love your responses. Bella you made me lol.
I am definitely buying the mat they have at one step but I couldn't decide on this bumper, I think the idea of mold has made up my mind :) I like to keep things that I have to clean at a minimum. I will get the mat and go from there. I've tried the rings they have fits in them, I'm always supervising but you know how they can be. Mine are all over the place.

I have just started letting mine bath without the rings (like the last couple of days  ) and it has been a challenge. I would probably still use the rings, but they are getting so big I'm afraid they'll get stuck and I'll have to cut them out of them. My boys are very rowdy in the tub too, but I'm hoing it's just because it's a new experience for them to finally be 'free'. But to answer your question, I know another mom that bought that same thing for her singleton and it's been more of a pain than a help, so I'd say No.

I am the mom that seamusnicholas is referring to in her post. I love the bumper and at the same time I have a bath mat like a PP mentioned in the bottom of the tub. On top of that we also have a ducky cover over the water spout. The boys do not slip or bruise anything when they try to stand in the tub. I LOVE the bumper and DO NOT think it is lame.

I voted to go for it. Of course, we could never use it because my boys would have it peeled off, deflated, and thrown into the toilet in about 30 seconds, but that's my boys. ;) Most children could probably benefit from having slightly fewer places to hurt themselves in the tub. :D

To me it looks like it would be more of a pain than a help. Have you tried a bath mat that sticks to the bottom of the tub? This keeps my girls from slipping, along with a faucet cover.

Water spout covers are a must for us. We got a few little inflatable velcro-fastened ones for our house and grandma. Decided to skip the animal face onces because they got too much attention.
