I realized the other day that my DH and I are bathing the twins differently. For example, I like to put them both in bath seats in the tub at the same time along with my 4 year old. Its a little cumbersome but I like that they are all "playing" in there together at the same time.

My DH however doesn't like the stress of two babies in there at once and lets one sit on the bathroom floor in a bumbo seat and bathes them one at a night and sometimes even does my 4 year old separately too.

I put them both in their tub seats and wash them if DH is there to help, otherwise I wash them one at a time in their baby tub. I always lay them next to each other to get them lotioned, dressed and ready for the day.

We bathe them separately in a bath seat and make it one-on-one playtime with mommy or daddy. We bathe them both every night. When they are older and can sit well enough to be in the tub without the seat, we'll bathe them together so they can play.

For the past month, all 3 have been bathing together in the big tub. It's a trip & sure does make things easier that the whole one-at-a-time baths.

My boys love to bathe together in the tub. We have two bath seats and they play and steal each others toys while bathing. Getting them out can be tricky when I'm by myself, but we try and plan baths when we're both home.

I bathe mine together in a regular tub. No special seats or anything. To get them dried & dressed, I take one out and watch the other. Been doing this since they could sit up very well.

DH is always there for bath night and we each get a baby. We dress them on the kitchen table and bathe them in the sink. Each baby gets a side of the sink.

I put both twins in the bathtub in baby bath seats. My five year old sits in the middle and it is very crowded--but he loves to help and he needs to get bathed anyway. Before I put them in I lay a blanket on the bathroom floor. I wash both of them and then I get one out, wrap in towel and lay on blanket on floor. Then I get the other one out and carry it to the front room and lay on floor, then I return to bathroom and get that baby and take in front room. I then dress both them and then go wash the 5 year old. It's kind of a circus at times but all the kids have a good time.

When we bath the twins, I bath one of them while DH keeps an eye on the other one, then once the first bub is bathed DH drys and dresses her, while I bath the other one, then we each feed a baby her bottle.

DH and I usually bath them together, because we both love to watch them bathing. One of us shares a tub with the first baby, while the other one´s warming up towels, heating the bedroom and preparing all the diaper/clothes - stuff and undresses the second twin. Then we "switch" babies and no. 2 starts his bath, while his brother is being dressed.

I was so happy to see this post. I've been bathing the girls one by one in their little baby bathtub in the kitchen sink. When I am finished with the first one, my husband takes her and we swap. He dries and dresses the first one while I bathe the second one. Then I dry and dress baby #2 and we give them both a bottle. But the kitchen sink is getting really messy! The girls are getting so big that they displace a lot of water making a huge mess. Also, I can't get enough water on their body parts at once to keep them warm. I was thinking of transitioning to the bathtub but since they don't sit up I don't know how. Maybe I need a different kind of baby bathtub (or is it a bathseat, I don't know the difference). I am open to suggestions.

Sagertwins, I can't wait to see what a "step-up" is. I will go right out and buy it if you recommend it. Bathtime has become very difficult. There has to be an easier way. Thanks.

I try to bathe them the same day. They are too little to be bathed at the same time otherwise I would. I dress them seperately right after their bath and then I start the bath of the other.

It depends if my partner is there, if he is then he goes in the bath with them one at a time and i dry them. If it me and MIL we bath them together and dry one each. If it is me by myself i bath one and the other sits on the floor as we dont have baby seats to put them in. Lol so we do it every way! x

twins together in the same tub unless Rachel's Molluscum is very active then I bathe separately.
I usually have DH around to help me get them dressed after bath, but if not then i herd them into the nursery and close the door

It varies depending on whether my dh is around. [IMG] On nights my dh is home, we bathe them together in the tub, both of them on bathing sponges. We dress them at the same time. If my dh isn't home, I do them one at a time. One baby plays in the johnny jumper while I bathe, dress, and feed the other, and put that baby down for the night. Then I do the other baby. Sometimes the baby in the jumper falls asleep while I'm with the other one. I feel really bad about this but it's better than crying. [IMG]

They both get a bath one at a time every night before bed. Who ever is most tired goes first. The other baby hangs out and "watches" sitting in her bouncy chair next to the tub. Since they like to listen to the water they do well and are very patient. I have a large counter in my bathroom so I get it prepped with clothes & diapers & then have a thick towel laid out and I dry, massage & dress the baby after the bath & put her down. I then bathe the other baby.

my kids aren't real fond of bathtime so the faster they are bathed and out the better! I bathe them in the kitchen sink individually...

if DH is home he will entertain and strip down one twin to a diaper and I will bathe the other twin...when that twin is done I hand DH the clean twin to dry, lotion and dress and I get the dirty twin and then I dry and dress them..

if I'm by myself then one twin is entertained by the exersaucer/baby einstein while the other is bathed, dried and dressed...

oh and I dry/dress on the floor in the living room

I used to find bath time very frustrating....Here is what I do now. I alternate bath nights for my 2 yr old (Landon) and the twins. When it is time for the twins to bathe I still use the sink. We have very large bath tubs and they seem to be scared of them. I usually turn on a Babies video and bathe one and then the other. My 2 yr old helps by playing with the one who is waiting also.

This will all have to change when the weather gets warmer b/c they will need to bathe everyday...uggh.....

Now that they are older, we bathe them in the big tub, at the same time. When it is time to dry and dress them, we each take one and put her in her crib and do the dressing in the crib. If I am alone, I bathe them separately. One in the tub and the other waiting in her crib.

Other: I bathe them at the same time in the sink (we have a deep double sink). I just don't want to break my back leaning over the side of the tub!! Dh and I tackle the chore together at the same time. Basically he does one twins from strip to bath to dry to dress, and I do the same with the other. I usually use the changing table for drying/dressing, if DH is using it I use a crib.

I just happen to have a cute pic of the two of them in the sink if anyone just wants to look!! (I love to show off my cuties!!!!)

Until they were able to sit up, I bathed them seperately in the baby tub, in the floor while the other played beside me. When they were able to sit up, I put them in the big tub, they splased and had a grand ole' time.

When I just wiped them off, I did that on the changing table, one at a time. It was usually always one at a time for me.
