Just saw the Podees on tv, the hands free bottle system.. are they worth it? What about having just a couple on hand?? Any thoughts??

We got them and while I think it is a great idea, my girls never quite grasp the concept. They were about 3 months old before they could suck enough to get the formula to stay in the tube and by then they were close to holding their own bottles. If you are thinking of a hands free option, I vote for the milk maid or something similar to that.

My boys are almost 16w/11w adj and they are doing great with the Podees. I just introduced them last week. They drink more formula than when I hold them and feed them. 8oz instead of 6-7oz. I say they are worth it.

We tried them several times and did not have luck with them.

I couldn't have survived without them. I now give them to every friend or family member who is pregnant. They really saved a lot of headache. Get a couple and try them, if they don't work you aren't out a bunch of money. If they do work you can order more.

BTW, several moms on this site sell them, including me. I would be interested to know what they were priced at on TV. I'm sure one of the twin moms could probably get them to you cheaper. I originally got mine from Noss Galen (who is on this site, but I didn't know about this site at the time) then decided to distribute them myself. Noss Galen may be cheaper since they deal in a larger volume because of their website.

We loved ours. While singletons can usually use the Podee at birth, twins often need a couple months of growth before they develop the sucking ability. We've sold to plenty families of multiples (even triplets) with very young twins that could use the Podees right away but it's a general rule of thumb that you will have to wait.

We started using the Podees at 2.5 months old and it took Ainsley a few days to get the concept down well and Sierra about a week. By 3 months, the Podees were the only bottles the girls would use. I loved how the Podees allowed me to hold both girls during feeding time since my hands were free and they were a lifesaver at restaurants, on walks, and in the car.
