For those who use a Podee for feeding, how do you get the air bubbles out of the tube? I tried it today with one of the twins and all I kept seeing were these little tiny bubbles going up the tube...I even tried to suck some of it out myself but that didn't work...any suggestions?

    thank you!

I bought 2 podees a few months ago and it was a miserable failure and I was so disapointed that I haven't tried since. (My little ones couldn't get the formula to get all the way up to the nipple.) Good luck!

I too bought the Podee bottles when my guys were only a few months old, but they just didn't have the sucking power to get the formula up to the nipple then. Heck, even I couldn't get water up to the nipple when I tried either, so I called their customer support number, and it turns out I didn't have one of the threaded disk thingies tight enough. I was worried about stripping it since it was just plastic, but once I tightened it a little more I was able to suck water up the tube into the nipple. My boys though still couldn't do it :( I have been telling myself that I really need to get the Podee back out now that the boys are older and see if they have enough sucking power to get the Podee to work, but it takes effort to prepare those Podees and I just don't have the feeding dilemmas that I used to so it still hasn't happened...

I've actually tried several other hands free feeding devices and would recommend them over the Podees. Here is Brandon using the "Baby Butler" bottle prop. It's pretty lightweight styrofoam though and has a tendency to fall over, but I have found that just draping a burp cloth over it can help stabilize it:

    Baby Butler

My current favorite though is probably the "Bottle Nanny." But that was NOT the case initially. That is because the plastic ring that the bottle slides into was waaaaay too tight!! In fact, it was only after boiling the ring several times that I can now slide a bottle into it without need the jaws of life. But man, you just can't beat the convenience and flexibility of that arm, which can clamp on a bouncy seat, carrier, etc!

    Bottle Nanny

Lastly, I've also tried out the BeBe Bottle Sling, which attaches to a carrier arm, and that worked just as advertised and easily allowed my baby to drink from his bottle. However, we never were ones to feed our babies in their carrier seats so it was a pain to get them in the carriers and set up to use the sling. But that sling would be PERFECT for road trips (something we take very little of).

Well there you have my review of practically all known hands free bottle devices, ha. Someday I'll be advertising them for sale on the auction forum, when I am ready to part with them :) It is extremely rare that we even use any of these devices these days, but I think they must just provide me a little security because I remember how stressful it was when the babies were newborns and screaming to be fed at the same time. Thank gawd those days are over! LOL
