WE love PODEE bottles. I buy the kits. They are either 5.99/or 6.99 instead of the 8 or 10 dollar ones that come with the bottles. You can use the kits with any normal size bottle (obviously not the avent bottles). We usually use the podee bottles when we go to a restaurant or to a place where we can not easily hold a baby and feed. My boys used them at 3 weeks old and did great with them. They are 8 weeks now still doing wonderful. I know some people say their kids 'didn't like them' or 'couldn't figure them out' but luckily that was not the case for us. Both boys took to the podees right away.

It's basically a short straw in the bottle and a special top with a tiny hole that leads to another straw that is longer and more flexible this goes into a special device behind the nipple that allows just milk (no air!) into the nipple and allows the baby to suck like a pacifier. HANDS FREE! (Although when my boys were newborns we would put their hands on the back of the nipple part to hold it in- it worked fine!)

My boys have less problems with gas when they used podees which is awesome because it allows for easy burping, etc. and less fussiness. We have used them late at night too when we were just too tired.

The cons are that there are a lot of pieces... but we hand wash these one time a day and it stays clean. They are also expensive BUT we got five sets and could have gotten away with just getting two.

    Goodluck!

We love Podees also! Like the PP said, we mostly use them when we're out and about. They were espeically great when they were still in their infant seats, in the strollers. Now they fling them about a bit, and are messy, but still worth the convienence. I recommend NOT putting a #3 nipple, or they will be even messier. I only use #2's on them....

It's basically a regular nipple with a tube attached that acts as a straw so nobody has to hold the bottle for the babies. By the way, we used Dr. Brown nipples just fine on them....

We love them here too! been using them non stop since we found them at 2months old. they are about to be 7mo and 1 can now hold is bottle (avent) but the other can not yet...They are GREAT! I use them when out shopping etc, b/c u can feed while pushing the stroller. We love them since they allow u to feed HANDS FREE-pretty much anywhere! I highly recommend them whenever i run into a twin mom-to-be!

Thanks for the link. I think I am going to go get one of those. I breastfeed DS and bottlefeed DD so that would be great to use with her. It is almost impossible for me to feed my two at the same time. Thanks again.

We have them in stock as well: www.NossGalenBaby.com . Since your babies are still young, I suggest you go with the small silicone nipple instead of the latex. It is easier to suck from. Our girls started using the Podee at 2.5 months old and were using them exlusively by 3 months. They are so wonderful!

I put the baby with the podee in her carseat, next to me on the couch. I put the other baby with the regular bottle on the boppy pillow on my lap. When it is time to burp the baby with the Podee I Just take the nipple out of her mouth and take her out of the car seat and burp her. Then I put her back in and burp the baby on the boppy.

Can I use an Evenflo nipple with the Podee? I have 2 complete Podees and 2 Podees w/o the bottles. One of my silicone nipples ripped and I need to replace it. Or do I have to? Can I just use another kind of nipple?

BTW, I feed my twins with the Podee at every feeding. In between feedings I keep the Podees in the fridge so I don't have to wash them each time. At the end of the night we wash them but during the day we just store them in the fridge right after a feeding. It helps if you put the bottle in a cup or glass and then stuff the tube into the cup. Keeps it sitting upright so it doesn't lay on the shelf.

    Hi Ddancerd1,

I had the same problem the first time I use the Poddee. The boys could get the milk to go any higher then mid way through the bottle not even close to their mouth. What we ended up doing is squeeze the nipple like you are sucking on it with your fingers, you'll do it much faster then your babies and the milk will reach the nipple and your baby can start enjoying from there :)

    Hopw this helps.

So unusual to see this but I found myself in the same situation...my twin dd bottlefed and twin ds bf. I would have two boppy pillows. Ds was up bf on my lap on one, and dd was bottle feeding next to me on the other... I could hold her bottle with one hand, just putting it down if ds let go of his latch or needed to switch sides. I could even burp dd while ds was latched on. Of course sometimes they got mad at me, but it worked pretty well. The only drawback is that dd got so used to bottle feeding in her boppy that she refused to bottle feed anywhere else. Even if my arms were free she wouldn't bottle feed unless the boppy was on my lap. And she rarely would take the bottle from anyone else. She got very particular about it.

I used the podee for the first time this morning. We have the feeding kit and I used the Dr. Brown's bottle and nipple with it and it worked great! I had one son in a boppy using the podee and I held the other baby and gave him his bottle. There were a few air bubbles in the tubing, but I think I just didn't put it on the attachments tight enough. I started the milk up the tubing using my fingers, so Noah didn't have any trouble immediately getting milk. Next feeding, I'm going to try it on Seth. He tends to eat a bit slower and doesn't suck as consistenly, so I'm hoping it works just as well.
