i purchased 2 of the podee bottle things to try to help me with some feeds during the day. i am home alone all week (dh travels) and have a high energy 2 year old. anyway...i tried them yesterday and today with no success. it just doesn't seem like my twins have enough suction power to use them. i even tried to use them and couldn't get the milk up. am i doing something wrong? i tried to "prime" it for them but as soon as i broke the suction the milk went right back down the tube. i could see the milk coming up for them, but as soon as they paused in sucking, back down it went.

do these work for you? if so, when did you use them? my girls are 3 months. is it possible they are just too young for them? ideas?

Oh man I thought I had won the lottery when I found podees when my twins were about your age, I couldn't get it to work for them or myself (just like you). I gave up and they are just useless space wasters in my bottle drawer, good luck!

Ok, I haven't used these, but I *think* this is what another mom of twins was using when we were at a wedding last fall. What she had done was had both babies in their car seats on the ground and the bottle of milk was above them (at a higher altitude). Would that work? Her babies looked to be 3 mos or less, and they were successfully using this system.

I had problems even sucking water up our Podees too, so I called the support number on the box. Long story short I didn't tighten the threaded disks enough. I was afraid since they were plastic they would crack, but I had to tighten them very firmly. After that I could suck water up to the nipple easily. My boys, on the other hand, just didn't have the sucking power. Of course, they were about 3 months old then, or 1 month adjusted, so no surprise. I put the Podees back in the cabinet with intentions of breaking them out again when the boys were older...and like a lot of things I plan to do, that just hasn't happened. The boys could probably suck the formula up no problem now, but it takes effort to set up the Podees and I almost thing its easier just to hand feed them a bottle myself. Plus Brandon is trying awfully hard to hold his own bottle, so it won't be long. Yay!

Mine never really got good at it. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they didnt. I ended up selling them on Ebay. :pardon:
