Podee bottles and the older baby

My girls have done really well w/the podee bottles. They take them now in their high chairs and that seems to be ok - however - they now play with them.... twirl them, dump them upside-down, etc... the milk gets on them, splashes on the floor, etc... So it's getting annoying.

    I'm wondering lots of things:

    1. have other moms used something else or done something different w/the bottles at this age?
    2. (i've looked) but is there something that would velcro the bottle (for example) to the side of the high chair? i know the pacifeeder bottles come w/a strap-on holder thingie...... but i don't think they are sold separately.
    3. i don't think i have a number three... :p

Anyway, I'm a busy mom and it seems like when I put them in their chairs with the bottles, that there is always a milky mess when i get back. I'm just wondering if there are tips & tricks that other Moms have w/self-feeding babies.

    THANKS!!

I really have no clue, as I have never used the Podee bottles, but I am wondering if you could just buy some velcro and make something to velcro it to the highchair?

At this point we stopped using them with the long tubing and just used the inside one as they were learning to hold them. I think you should start getting them to hold the bottles. Trust me, they will ge the hang of it! :D

Ok - this may be a really stupid question.... but when I tried this, the disk that normally screws into the nipple part of the bottle wouldn't work (it couldn't screw into the top) so I had to use the other disk - which meant that there was a part that stuck up into the nipple ~ which made me wonder if it was bothersome to the baby. I hope you know what I'm talking about. ;)

Do your rings all have a half circle on the sides? If they do, the rings that fit the bottle and the nipple are the same. If not they are not compatible. Try putting the one you normally attach to the bottle on with the nipple.

    Hi,

I just looked at my bottles and I see what you are talking about. The plastic piece sticks partially up into the nipple when assembled without the longer tubing. The instructions that came with my bottles show it assembled that way though so it should be fine.

Cool! Glad you figured it out. Mine still like the long tube so they can drag them around! I have one window in the car covered in milk splatter! :pardon:
