I had never even heard of it and had to google it! No, that's definitely not a necessity. Are you going to breastfeed at all? If so, I'd say the ez2nurse nursing pillow is a necessity. Using other pillows can work, but that thing is so much easier and safer in case I fall asleep after nursing!

Besides that, the absolute must-have, can't-live-without things for us have been:
    * swaddling blankets (we just use large cotton ones)
    * two swings
    * at least 1 bouncy seat
    * a crib with a symphony in motion mobile (That thing keeps them so entertained that I can do things like, oh, use the bathroom!)
    * 2 carseats of course, and a stroller that fits them.
    * soft baby carrier, like a Moby wrap, an Ergo, a sling or a mei tai. We like to wear the babies a lot--great for bonding, for when they're fussy, and for getting them to go to sleep while we're out.

We got the Podee bottles and could not get them to work! Our babies couldn't suck hard or continuously enough to keep the formula in the tubing.

    Must haves for us:
Swaddle blankets!!! We used the Kiddopotamus Swaddle Me blankets that velcro and they worked wonderfully, our little houdinis could break out of all the others.

A swing that goes side to side as well as back and forth since ours only liked side to side (they now like both). We have the Fisher Price swing that plugs in which is huge to not have to worry about batteries.

The double snap -n-go is great. So much easier than traditional strollers and a breeze to in and out of the car and get them into.

Dr. Browns bottles were the best for us, we really could tell a difference in how gassy it made them and the spit-up.

I ended up going to buy cloth diapers to use as burp cloths - you can never have too many with two infants and we had a lot of cutesy ones but not many practical ones.

They spent all of their time in the first few months in footed sleepers that zip up and I found that those were easier even than a onesie because it kept their little feet warm and were really easy to change them.

We use a white noise machine that helps them sleep.

Two large mirrors for the car have really come in handy too.

and, I could go on and on so last one - if you end up formula feeding I have found that the Dr. Brown's pitcher is fabulous - you can mix up a pitcher of formula in the morning, make bottles to the exact amount you want and it is just one of those things that is by no means necessary but makes things a lot easier!

Its funny how we all used pretty much the same things.....

    Recieving blankets....lots o fthem
cloth diapers....forget the cutsie burp cloths
I used the PJ sacks, the ones with elastic at the bottom.....very easy to change at night
Two swings....one side by side and front to back (yours might like different ones)
at least 1 bouncey at first.....I use both now (like if im in the kitchen and to let them sit up a bit after eating bc of reflux)
I used the heck out of two boppy's (still do). This is how I feed both of mine at the same time and they lay in them and watch their videos in the morning on my bed. This might have been my number one used product. When they were little they would nap in them, because of reflux it was great because they were inclined.
two car seat, two mirrors and definitly a stroller to put them in......I am able to go anywhere with them if the store doesnt have carts.
    Dr. Browns bottles.
    a BIG diaper bag.
onsies...I used preemie at first then newborn ( mine weighed 4.12 and 5.5)

Hope this helps....I remember what it was like trying to make sure you have everything.

The Podee's are nice but I wouldnt register for them. Mine never really could get them to work very well and I have read that on here alot. Depends on the baby.

ETA: THIS list of must have's from the expecting site in case you missed it.

I would not register for the Podee's either. We could not get our babes interested in them.

Mine don't like the podees. I agree, those depend on the babies.

These were/are what we think are must-haves:

    Lots of receiving blankets
1 dozen flat-fold cloth diapers (so many uses!!)
    Mylicon
Swaddlers (Swaddle-me or Miracle Blankets or similar)
2 boppies - one for each baby (again, so many uses!!)
EZ2 nurse twins breastfeeding pillow if you plan to breastfeed
Contoured changing pad + 2 covers

There are many other items that are on the big list in the expecting forum. As for bottles, etc, it's all a personal choice. I tried all of them, pretty much, and found I liked the regular Evenflo and Gerber bottles best and use the NUK orthodontic nips for them. It's nice to have enough bottles and nipples to go an entire day without having to do any washing. We also liked the NUK pacis best. I have done both bottles & breastfeeding since the beginning with no "nipple confusion" issues and the babies love NUK, which was recommended by our hospital.

I agree with the podee bottles and the boppy. however I didnt breast feed so I bought the round boppys. LOVE THEM AND ARE STILL USING THEM! the sleep in them (though it says not to let them sleep). i am not sure why it says that because it keeps them safe and snug. I put them in the graco pack n play (also a neccesity)I bought tons of recieving blankets only to use them for a week and they dont like to be swaddled. they like there hands out. i just use warm blankets and a couple recieving blankets to cover their carseats. love the fisher price swing that rocks both ways and is able to put your graco car seat into the base to swing. only need one of those and one bouncer. you can take turns with them. love the nightgowns for middle of the night changes. dont buy too many newborn clothes as they will out grow them quickly! buy a couple preemie outfits. mine were 5lbers and need preemie clothes for two weeks, newborn clothes for 5weeks and are now in 0-3 months clothes. DIAPERS DIAPERS DIAPERS and wipes. Have a few packs of newborn and size ones. my boys are already in size 1-2. I had stocked up on boxes of size 1 and ended up not using two boxes of them. I recommend huggies supreme or costco generics (they are acutally the same diaper just different design) also love pampers swaddlers. i used babies r us generics and they were terrible! cheap price, cheaply made. mylicon drops, infant tylenol, onesies and pacifiers oh and BOTTLES BOTTLE BOTTLES! good luck and congrats on the twins!
