please tell me this is a phase!

I'm hoping this is a phase...has anyone else experienced it?

My boys have been in big boy beds for a few mos. now (since Thanksgiving). The first week they did great, the second week was a little rough- but since then they have been great. They love their beds, stay in them, are quiet and have no problem going to sleep at nap or bedtime

However this week has been a whole other story! I should say they do share a room.
They sleep great the 2 days they are at daycare- and have always slept well for me during nap 2-3 hrs. But the past few days they won't nap- they are up talking and playing and Trevor keeps getting into Tyler's bed. The past 2 bedtimes have been the same. They are in bed between 7-730 and stayed up the last 2 nights until 9 playing and talking. I put Trevor in our bed last night at least until Tyler fell asleep and that worked. I don't know why they are feeding off each other so! I don't think they are ready to give up nap, I think they just want to play and talk. The only thing that has changed is we get up earlier know on Mon-Wed to go to daycare. They wake up 1/2 earlier than normal.

I know they are kids and we all go through changes...but this is so frustrating! It seems like the one nap time a week ago that I let them stay up and play and didn't keep going up- they've been that way ever since- so maybe I set them up for this....

any advice would be gladly taken! I'm going nuts!

I should probably add that with our new schedule they don't see me as much as before- could this be part of it? Are they testing me?

 

My boys have weeks like that, and when they do, I still sit on their floor (only for nap) until they are asleep. Bedtime is usually fine.

I think it's a phase. Someone once said, think about the fact that twins have a slumber party with their best friend every day... That is how they feel. The novelty wears off, though every once in a while they get all worked up before bed or nap and I go through it all over again....

 

Mine where like this till I had to cut there nap done to 1 1/2 and they still dont go to bed till 9pm they get up at 7:30, I found that they where just not ready for bed so I had to just have them up longer. We had to do this right before they turned 3.
