You would think that 2 scoops, sometimes 3 would not be hard to remember but I cannot tell you how many times I am mid bottle and I lost count of how many I had already added.

    Anyway else?

You are totally not alone. I remember doing this like 2 weeks ago.. (just switched to milk)

I would rather put too much than too little. ;)

I hear ya! I make a whole big pitcher at a time and it needs 31 scoops. I count out loud and hope my 3 yr old will remember where I was if I lose count.

Nope not alone btdt. In fact bf today forgot and dumoed , then realized the bottle was wet and had to scoop and dump the wet stuff. Aggh $ down the drain. Don't know why he didn't just add back to bottle.

Yes, I would do that. Then we switched to making a pitcher at a time, and I used regular measuring cups instead. I still sometimes had trouble remembering.

Oh I have been there! I have forgotten to screw the top all the way on their bottle so that it pours on them when they start eating! I have also forgotten to put the nipple in the top, so it pours on them when they start to eat. LOL. Now I've done it so many times I know what it's supposed to look like with the right # of scoops before shaking.

I too have done that from time to time. I just have to start all over.

You are absolutely not alone. I make up batches of 24 oz so it takes 12 scoops. Well, I get to 8 or 9 and I can't remember if I am scooping in the 9th scoop or did I just count the 9th scoop and this is the 10th scoop or wait..did I just scoop in the 8th scoop and this is the 9th scoop. Thank goodness other people do it. Makes me feel much better.

We make formula 24-32 oz at a time too.....My thoughts exactly. Number 7, Number 8 **HUGE YAWN** which one is fussing?? Number 7, wait was I on seven? did I get to eight? How many does it "look" like in there? Hmmmmmm....

I'm all for just adding an extra to make sure!!

I used to do that pretty frequently until I started using my cooking measuring cups. My 1/2 cup holds 5 scoops of Enfamil Next Step but for some bizarre reason my 1 cup holds 12.

I do the same thing & it seems to ONLY be when I am in public?!!! How embarrasing to be at the mall & shake a bottle up & the formula goes flying EVERYWHERE. Ughhhhh!!! We are already like a circus act when we are out with our big stroller, big diaper bag, one zillion toys attached to the stroller.....

Its good to know that we all forget how many scoops every now & again! :)

Same here and the kids like to count with me...I always mess up if they are counting b/c they get confused after 10 scoops...lol! I usually throw an extra scoop in for good measure if I end up forgetting where I was at.

I lose count too.. lol. Those of you making big pitchers... we do that also but I don't count 31 scoops! When we were on neosure there were directions for mixing a large amount and now that we are on emfamil lipil I went to the website and found directions for mixing 32 oz at a time: 1 scoop plus one standard measuring cup to 29 oz of water. Maybe that will help! click here!
The link is for emfamil lipil but all the products are on there

All the time especially when they are both fussing it is enough to drive you bananas already and then to have to do math on top of that. And we use the bottle once more after we make it (if they don't finish it the first time) so I have to remember how much more water I just added to make a full bottle than put all 4 scoops in when I only needed like 2...LOL
