Infant Seats--We had the Graco Snugrides and loved everything about them! Thumbs up!

Convertible Seats--We have the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Convertible 3-in-1 Car Seats and I like the actual seat itself, but I hate the fact that they do not come all the way apart for washing. I would have never bought them had I known this. Thumbs down!

I also loved the Graco Snugrides. I have no dislikes about it.

We have the Britax Marathon and am happy with it. The only negative was that when the seat was rear facing, when dh drove, he had to move the driver seat way up. We now have the boys forward facing and it is fine.

We also used the Graco SnugRides for the infant seats. Not one complaint from me either!

We now use the Britax Roundabout. I love these seats. They fit the girls perfectly and are a piece of cake to adjust the straps on. That was a big thing for me. They were also rated #1 in safety in Consumer Reports (last year I believe).

    Cosco Eddie Bauer 3-in-1

    Pros...
-It goes from rear facing 5lbs all the way through to no harness booster.
-Easy to clean. (It all comes apart.)

    Cons...
    -Its big and bulky.
-When it is rear facing the seat its behind has to be moved way up.

Eddie Bauer High Back Booster w/ 5 point harness

(the link is the closet thing I could find, I think its the same, it just doesnt say 'eddie bauer' (woop dee doo!) lol)

    Pros...
    -super easy to install
    -easy to clean
    -wide and comfy
-goes from 5 point forward facing (80lbs) to seat belt booster (100lbs)

    Cons...
-too wide when you have more than 2 kiddos! :)

    Evenflo Discovey Infant Seats

    Pros....
    -small
    -lightweight, but sturdy
    -easy in and out
-base fit good in all the cars we tried them in!

    Cons....
    -Harder to clean
    -only up to 20lbs.

    Eddie Bauer Infant Seat

    Pros....
    -VERY sturdy
    -easy to clean
    -adjustable base
-super comfy (I would assume) :D

    Cons....
    -Heavy, bulky (to carry around)
-Didnt for on carts well. ( I guess its safer that way!)
    -Wide

    Evenflo Embrace

    Pros....
    -lighweight
    -easy to clean

    Cons....
The base was funny, never seemed to be easy.

We had the Graco infant car seats and loved them!! I have no complaints, the boys were comfortable and they cleaned nicely.

We now use (our boys are almost 22 months) the Graco Step 2 car seats. They are so nice!! They are very large so they might not work in a smaller car but the boys are so comfortable in them. They recline very easy if they fall asleep and their heads never fall forward. So far I love them!!

When my girls were born I used the Graco snug rides and absoultely loved them. They were very easy to use, install, and wash. My next purchase was the convertibles. I bought the Graco comfort sport. These seats were easy to install but didn't last very long. My girls were barely three when they outgrew the Comfort Sports. If I would have done my homework I would have bought a convertible car seat that would have lasted a long time. Like the Sushine Kids Radian.

http://www.specialtybaby.com/sukiracarseg.html- Sushine Kids Radian convertible car seat
    LOVE LOVE LOVE this seat.
    - easy to install, rock solid
-5 pt harness up to 65 lbs.
    -can use from birth up
-narrow width- can fit all three across my bench row seat in SUV
-straps are easy to adjust even rearfacing
    - can tether it rear facing. ( I believe the Radian and Britax are the only seats you can do this)

After my son grew out of the Snug ride. I didn't waste my money and buy a convertilbe car seat he would grow out of in a year. I bought another Radian for him.

I want to add a con for the Evenflo Embrace (though, over all its been a great carseat): they don't work without the base like many other carseats. This can be inconvenient when you have two cars or are flying.

Graco Snugride: OK seats, did the job. Not really comfy.

Britax Marathon: Great seats, easy to install, very high top slots (17.5") so great to keep tall kids harnassed for a long time (only Radian and Regent (ff only) have higher top slots), up to 65lbs, comfortable, rf tethering.

Neg ... big and heavy but worth the trouble.

For infant seats we had the Graco travel system (sorry, don't know if they are called Snugrides or what, the whole thing was given to us) which we liked but the girls seemed to get hot in them.

We now have Britax Marathon and love them! They are safe, comfy, and easy to use. The only con I can see is that they are really big, but we wanted something that the girls could be in for as long as possible.

Great thread! We currently use the Graco Snugrides for our twins. But with Jake pushing 18lbs, I'm starting to research the next car seats, and it's great to have all the info from you all!

I like the Snugrides, but I wish I had gotten the Graco Safeseats since they go up to 30 lbs. I'm going to miss snapping them in the snap and go once they are out of their buckets! But I'm not sure the Safeseats were available when my twins were born. My friend had a baby a month after me and she got one. She said it is heavier, but I like the convenience still of having the bases in the cars. We are going to have to buy like 6 car seats! 2 for my car and 2 for my husbands and then 2 for our nanny! Talk about breaking the bank!

Infant seats: Graco Snugride. We like the kind that can be adjusted from the front. Makes it really easy to get them in and out.

Convertible seats: Britax Roundabout. Seat is super comfortable, my oldest is 3.5 and still fits it just great. We've been using that seat for 3 years now and it still works wonderfully and looks like new. We already bought 2 more for our twins (if they will just pack some pounds on!).

We are using the Graco Snugride right now. They are easy to snap in, but I will say, it would be MUCH easier if you didn't have to adjust the straps from behind the seat. I know there are some seats that adjust by pulling a strap on the front between the childs legs--which tightens the entire strapping system. It is a lot of work to do each one individually from behind the seat. Other than that, no complaints.

Graco Snugride here too! Love them! Easy to use, easy to clean, lightweight and the travel system is terrific. I honestly can't think of anything I don't like about them. We'll be buying another one for the twins (we have a leftover one from DS2 who outgrew it within two months). We used the "earlier" version for DS1 and it was just as good.

We also have a Britax Roundabout. I really like it. My only complaint is that it's a little too bulky and makes it tough when DH drives my car, since he has to move the seat back. Once it's front-facing, I'm sure it'll be a lot easier. I really like the way the straps adjust on it. You just push a button at the bottom, pull the straps out, and then pull the teather...all right there on the front without having to reach around the back or pull it out of the car.

We had the Evenflo Discovery seats, with the teddy bear print.

Likes: They were easy to use, they came in and out of the base easy, were pretty lightweight and the straps were easy to adjust.

Convertible Seats, we have the Cosco Juvenile convertible seats.

Likes: Easy to install. They have a 5 point harness, the straps are really easy to use. They are easy to clean, IMO. If you don't think they are padded enough you can add some extra padding.

You can also get the Graco Snugride with the same adjustment mechanism. It's a bit more expensive, but DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I mean, how many times are you going to get your babies in and out of their seats? Possibly multiple times a day either for months or up to a year (depending on how your babies grow)!

Graco Snugrides as infant seats - no complaints...now we have the Evenflo Triumph V convertible seats - very comfy - they are a bit heavy if you need to move them from one car to the other...

we got my mom 2 Evenflo Titan convertible seats for her car - they were decent for the price...

can't afford Britax - and personally I think since all seats are FDA regulated that one is just as good as the other...
