    Hi All,

I was all set to get the double snap n go but I realized that since my babies are preemies, I'm probably not going to be taking them very far until spring and probably wouldn't get much use out of it. So I think I need a good sturdy stroller that's going to last us a long time. I have a few criteria, it must accommodate infants, it must be side by side, the seats must recline to flat and it must be light weight and fold compactly. Oh, and inexpensive as well if possible. Does this exist?

    Thanks in advance!

We have the Combi Twin Savvy. We used it from the beginning, and I do believe the specs on that stroller say that it can be used from infancy. Attached is a photo of them at 6 weeks old (they were almost 6 weeks early). As you can see, they fit just fine. We bought the attachable headrests (think that they were Graco brand) but they really didn't need them.

I would suggest you still get the snap-n-go. You will need to take them out to their dr. appts at least and it really is the best. You can probably get one for less then $50 (I've seen them for $20 through our twins club) second hand. It works until they are out of the infant car seats and since they are preemies that will probably be for quite awhile. After they are out of the infant carseats I would go with the Combi, Peg Perego Aria twin or Maclaren. The Mac doesn't have the snack tray but will definitely last you the longest. They are very sturdy, the seats recline all the way and have a better canopy then the others.

    Good luck and Congratulations!

The Maclaren double strollers meet your criteria except for the price. I used this stroller with my preemies (34 weeks, but one only weighed 2 lbs 15 oz at birth) and am still using it almost 2 years later. The seats fully recline and it folds up to about the size of a bag of golf clubs (we can get it in the back of a Ford Escourt). They also fit through regular sized doors. They run about $200, but IMO it was completly worth it.

I second the MacLaren. Very sturdy and good quality strollers. I bought a Twin Rally online for $200, used it for airtravel several times already and it holds up really well.

I also have a Mountain Buggy, but it's not cheap and not light, but still a great walking stroller with a recline for infants.

ditto Kate on the Twin Combi Savvy, that is what we have and i love it...
ine is a little differnet.... it has the thing that doe snot let their feet slide out... I say go with that one. :) If you get a coupon for 15-25 percent off at BRU you can get it for under 200 and it is worth it and will be what you need till they are grown. :)

my boys were preemies and I use my snap'n go all the time - it's the ONLY way I'll take them out of the house for errands. I have a combi side by side but have had no reason to use it yet b/c the SNG is sooooo much easier.

I would also suggest the Double Snap N Go until they are older. My guys were little in the fall and winter too and I still used it for pedi appts and other things like that. It was a life saver. I do have the Combi Twin Savvy EX and I love it, but I started using it when they could sit up (too big for their infant seats) at 5.5 months or so. I got my Snap N Go used for $40 on Craigslist and sold there for $35 just recently.

Hands down the Combi Twin Savvy. My guys were 8 weeks early and we have used it all the time. The Combi is much much lighter than the Maclaren and has a snack tray which for me were two reasons to go with the Combi.
