Please pray for our daughter

Our daughter Izzy has 20+ hemangiomas on her body. At our 2 month check-up, her pedi said that she's never seen that many on a baby before. She wanted to do some research and talk to some people and get back to us. She called earlier and wants us to have an abdominal and cranial ultrasound, a chest x-ray, blood work, and a stool sample done. They are concerned that she could have hemangiomas internally as well, which can be a major problem. I did some reading and it scared me to death. Please pray for our daughter and our family.

 

Your little Izzy will be in my prayers. Keep us posted on the outcome of the tests and I will be thinking of your family

:hug99: My DD has a hemangioma on her head and we have freinds whose daughter had several on her head and back. They are really common, but I agree it is a good idea to look internally if your DD has that many. Try not to go nuts on the internet -- chances are things will be just fine and the hemagiomas will eventually go away in time. Hope everything turns out okay.....

I'll definitely be praying for her. My DD, Lyla has a few - on her lips and chest - and we're continuing to see the pediatric dermatologist at Johns hopkins (we live in baltimore). Good luck - please keep us poste - we'll all keep praying for your little blessing.

I remember the day when one occured on my odd's face / head ... I started reading the internet, and it scared me to death. I hope Izzy and your family will receive all the necessary medical help and it will turn out well. Keep us posted.

i hope everything will be ok!! my ds has one by his eye. he has been treated for it at children's hospital in boston because of its location. just make sure you are in the best place you can be for your daughter's treatment. it is good that your pedi is being proactive. keep on top of it!

I will prayer for you daughter and agree with pp that the more research you do on the internet the more scared you will be. I have a friend who has twin girls and one has it on her face by her eye which may cause her to go blind if they do not treat it.

My DD also has one on her shoulder and my DS has two on his back. The pedi said that they will grow and change until they are a year and then whatever they look like at that time they will stay or disappear.
