What is wrong with my SON!!!!! He cries, no he screams ALLLLLLLLLLL DAY!!! he just started doing it. I feed him and he pushes and fights it and kicks and screams. I put him in every location possible in the house. He screams. I give more food more fighting MORE SCREAMING!!! I am losing it. I can't do this. I don't know what his issue is. I am crying all day because there is nothing and I mean nothing that will stop his screaming and whining. He has been fine up till now. What gives!!!!

Maybe he has an earache or an upset tummy. I know the first thing that comes to most of our minds is reflux but it could be or gas. Did you try putting him in the tub? DD had a couple of bouts of this around that age and that was the only thing that calmed her down. Then I would dry her off, give her some tylenol and just put a diaper on her. Then rock her to sleep in my arms and it worked. It is hard to do when you are by yourself but possible. GL

I just want to say I'm sorry...I know it is so frustrating when you can't figure out what is wrong. My two each went through a period of this, and I wasn't sure if it was the teething or tummy upset. I would give them gripe water or Oval to see if that helped. I don't really like to use drugs, but it did get to the point that I gave them a dose of Advil because I thought that something must really be hurting to scream/cry like that. Saying that, I have only given them advil 3 times in 7 months because I have only used it when it was really bad.

I hope you are doing ok, and good luck.

We are there too with Ethen. Little snot! We discoverd by accident that running the vaccum makes him quiet and sleep. The babies room has a very clean spot right by the door! We went an bought a cheap stick vac an leave it in their room. :hug99: Hope you find your trick...soon.

I was also wondering if his tummy is upset? Maybe call the ped and mention symptoms and see what they say. I know that's a hard spot to be in :hug99: . I hope it's better soon!

No real advice, just sympathy. One of my guys screamed 16 hours a day for 4 solid days (last Friday-Monday). I was a basket case. He's always been a screamer, but those days were just too much for me. It turned out to be a belly ache combined with teething. Or so we think.

I was wondering about teething for you guy though - maybe eating is hurting his gums? And so he's still hungry (and screaming). I would try some tylenol and some orajel, see if that helps. At least it's something to TRY, right?

Can you recruit someone - ANYONE - to come over and take care of him for a couple hours while you take the other guy out of the house? (Or have them take the screamer out?) You need a break. Last week I wound up just putting the little screamer up in his crib (so he'd be safe), closing the door, and NOT using a monitor of any sort. He screamed the entire time, but I wasn't RIGHT THERE for it, so I could calm down a bit.

Good luck! I hope he calms down for you soon.

Did he recently get any shots? We too have resorted to using Gripe water for one of our twins way more than the other. I think someone else asked if he might have an ear infection. I hope you can get some answers soon. I'll be praying for you.

:hug99: If this is different from the way he normally is I would definitely call the pedi. It could be so many things: tummy ache, ear ache, teething, reflux, gas, etc etc. When we ruled out all of those things for one of my DDs I put her in the Bjorn. Just being close to me helped calm her down (and kept my hands free so I could hold and play with her sister). Let us know how you are doing.

I would call the pedi since it is something new. It maybe his ear, and it hurts even worse to swallow thus the screaming while eating. Never hurts to get it checked out.

:hug99: I would call the ped. just to double check since this is something new. I hope you get whatever it is figured out really soon. We had days like that, too, and they are so hard to get through. :hug99:

You have had great suggestions from pp and I am sure that you have tried EVERYTHING...I just wanted to say I am sorry you are going through this and I hope it gets better soon! VERY SOON!
My experience with crying I would say try the vacuum cleaner, Tylenol or Motrin, and check his ears. I am thinking of you and wish you peace soon!

Thanks everyone. Its so hard. How do we all do it!!! I just don't know sometimes. I love them to pieces, but somedays I really do want to just have a day all alone. I feel like the needs of children never end.

Somedays I feel like that Southwest commercial "Wanna get away?" Heck yeah!! Hang in there. I too would call the Ped. Sounds like something is going on more than just typical fussiness. :hug99:
