Ok, so Arwen I think is showing all the signs that she is ready. She lets me know almost everytime she poops and pees. However, she is going through this phase where she is constantly saying poo poo and I check and there is nothing and when I say "You don't have any poo poo" she says "pee pee" and then wants me to change her. So evidentally she is at a point where she doesn't like having any pee pee in her diaper and I just can't afford to change her diaper 8-10 times a day at this point!! I mean if I have to I will but I'm thinking that it is time to start getting her on the potty, no? We have a Dora potty that I bought a while back and keep in the downstairs bathroom but whenever I mention or ask her if she would like to try, she just says no and I don't want to push her or force her. Dh and I were discussing the idea of taking her to pick out a special potty for herself thinking that maybe making her a part of the WHOLE process would help her along? Does this sound right? Does she sound ready? She gets really upset when she has pee pee in her diaper. Not ALL the time but most of the time. What are your thoughts? TIA

Mel, honestly, my guys are doing all the same things. I take it as they are still not really ready, if they won't even sit on it! Kevin will at least sometimes sit on the potty but Patrick runs so fast and gets really upset by it.

Give her a little time, and I am sure she will start coming around. Don't forget to keep asking her occasionally if she would like to use it. :hug99:

Thanks Sarah! I'm being very careful not to push her and I do ask her every other day or so if she would like to use the potty. Guess I'll keep going the way I am.

i'm not sure if she is ready either - but i would give her more opportunities for success - let her run around with nothing on her bottom in the morning, night, nap time, etc so she has the opportunity to learn what it feels like to have to go, and encourage her to sit if she is willing to. good luck!
