Please help with sizing

What size did he/she wear for this summer? I am trying to buy ahead for this next summer. Both my children were wearing 18-24 months this summer. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

 

well, where are your kids on the growth chart?
Mine are always on the upper end so my just turned 3 twin boys are in 4's and 5's this summer.

 

Thanks for asking. I forgot. Lydia is in the 25%-50% and Atticus in the 50% to 75%.

 

I would guess they'd be more true to size then{?}
Maybe someone w/ similar sized babies can be more help!

 

Mine will be 3 in October. They are both pretty skinny and in the 50th -75th%. Catherine has been wearing 2s & 3s this summer and Andrew is still in 2s. He's just really small at the waist! The 2s are just now starting to get snug. I think it depends on the store too. Some run much larger than others.

 

Sofia is in 3T and Ryan is in 4T shirts/3T shorts. They have always been fairly big for their age. I try not to buy ahead because in my experience if I do that I always guess wrong and then end up with a bunch of stuff they don't use.

 

I also have a hard time buying ahead. Mine were pretty much true to size until just recently. Mine are 2 1/2 and I am pretty much buying all 3T's now for both of them.

 

I just wanted to wish you luck. Last year, Maggie was wearing 3T, so I bought some 4T stuff. This year, she is wearing 4T tops, and 2T bottoms... so I hope you have better luck than I had!

 

My kiddos just turned 3 in May, most stuff is 3T, but some for DS is 4T because he has a super long torso. and some of DD's are 4T cause shes got mamma's hips! LOL!

 

i just bought my two a bunch of 3T stuff for next summer. they are wearing 18-24 for the most part now, with a couple of 2T items, but those are pretty roomy for them. the 3T things i bought i tried to make sure all had adjustable waists or were easy to take in. with cameron, most of the time i have to take in the waists for him - i just sew a few darts into the waist and then if i need to take them out i can. so really, he may be wearing 2T still next summer. really though, only the shorts wouldn't be usable if i bought the wrong size, because the t shirts they wear under things all year long. and i got such great deals on everything that it's not a big deal if we don't use all of it a ton. have fun shopping!

 

My guys wear a 3T. It fits just lose enough for comfort. They can't stand anything tight fitting.

 

My son turned 3 in March. He's 75% for height & 5% for weight, so he's a little different! But he's wearing mostly 3T. He can fit into some 4T tops, but no 4T bottoms (they all fall down). He still fits into his 18-24 mo bathing suit, since he's so skinny & he no longer wears a diaper to hold it up! If your kids have always followed their age in size (e.g. @ 18 mos, wear 18 mo clothing), then they are likely to continue that. Good luck!

 

You could probably get your DD some 2T-3T and your son 3T-4T. That would be my guess based on their percentages.

We are 50/50 for weight and height and wear 3T and 4T shirts and 2T and 3T shorts/pants. We will be completely out of the 2T stuff by Christmas
