I am so sorry to hear this. I'm sorry that I don't have any information to offer but I will keep you in my prayers.

I don't have specific info, but I do know someone who had it, and it is very treatable. She was in pain, but dealt with it, and now, many years later, is fine.

I had IBS for years (oddly, my pregnancy with the twins got rid of it) which is not the same. Check out the IFFGD website. They dealwith gastrointestinal disorders, and provide a really good newsletter.

Hope that helps a little. Good luck.

well, I know one person with this, and I only know that she's had a couple surgeries, and that she really leads a fairly normal life. I don't see her very often, so I don't know much about her pain, but she has 2 active girls, and seems to keep up with them really well. I think what helps her is having a Dr that knows how to help.

good luck! I think you'll make it through! you're a mom of twins! I hear twin moms are tough!

I'm an Registered Nurse on a surgical floor that deals with ALOT of bowel conditions and surgeries. I see alot of people with chrons disease. Feel free to PM me if you have questions. It is very treatable as the PP said. There are medications available now that work wonders with chrons. I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with this, but don't loose heart, and don't get too worked up over everything you read on the internet. We tend to think worse case senerio when we look things up on the internet. Like I said, feel free to PM me if you want.

My cousin has it and was diagnosed when he was 8. They wanted to do surgery and everything back then and instead they have been able to manage it well with meds and diet and he leads a normal life of an 18 year old who has just gone off to college, partying and everything else with his friends. You can do this. It may mean some life adjustments, but it is treatable. I know he also used some herbal remedies which he swears by...(he puts some root capsule in his protein drink every morning. Hang in there! You can do this and raise your babies well! [IMG]
