Playtime for 1 month olds?

Looking for ideas for my 10 week actual, 4 week adjusted twins. Right now, we do tummy time on the bed (firm mattress), tummy time on mommy's chest, stare at mommy's face, stare around the room while cuddled with mommy, lie in pack-n-play together and sit in the bouncer.

 

You could try putting them on an activity mat. Mine used to enjoy that. Or I also had a Mommy & Me Yoga DVD that I'd do with them on the ground.

 

we got a play mat we use...lots of clickers and clackers to make them turn their heads. I also place my hand against their feet and they push off and scoot.

another good thing is these little textured plastic rings for them to grab and hold on to. Marlee has "white knuckle" grabbin power. She even grabs the rings on the play mat above her and pulls up...she's a beast

 

oh...and they LOVE to each sit in their boppy...one in each recliner and watching Nat do Wii Fit...they get a kick out of that

 

The play mat saved my soul at that time, as well as books. Lots of a lots of books made for happy babies. In particular, our babies loved the black and white pictures in this book. We have read to them every single day since they were 4 weeks old and they love it.

 

try a mirror, my boys have always loved looking at themselves.

 

Massage and gentle stretching of their limbs. You can find some ideas online I am sure or by taking a baby yoga class or video. It is really good for them and you...calms you both. Don't forget SINGING...you don't have to be good.
