Play Yards?

Has anyone used a play yard for their twins? I was looking at baby gates, and I'm wondering if this would be a better purchase? We live on a very, very busy street, and I shudder thinking about being outside with my twins next spring (they'll be about a year), plus my 3 year old! I don't like the idea of my kids being "penned in", but some of these products look pretty big. Looks like some of them can be used indoors or outdoors. I'd love to hear if anyone has experience with this, and if so, which one is a good one for twins?

My neighbor uses them and says they're a good investment!

We have baby gates and a superyard!! I LOVE my superyard, and I use it all the time (especially when we go down to the IL's whose house is not baby proofed!).

Someone just gave me their Superyard & it is AWESOME! I think it will actually allow me to pee without worrying where the babies will be when I get back!!!
My friend also used hers around Christmas time to protect the tree/presents from little hands :good:

We have one, that we use to split the living room so they can't go to the stairs/TV etc. It works great, and I'm thinking of buying more extensions.

we have one and love it. it gives them half the living room to play in without escaping into other rooms to get into stuff. and you can add extensions to them, to make them bigger which is nice

I bought the superyard XT with two extension panels. It takes up most of our living room, LOL! My girls happily played in it for 30-40 minutes at a timey (on good days!) as long as there were really fun toys in there. I would also play in there with them sometimes. Definitely worth the investment, and it folds down to a manageable size pretty quickly if you need to take it somewhere or move it for vacuuming. My girls are 20 months now, and we are probably going to get rid of it because they no longer play "nicely" with each other when left alone.
Definitely get one! Ours was so big they could run around in it and play in different corners independently.
Pack n plays are too small for that
