I was thinking of buying LOs a play kitchen for Xmas. They have one we bought off of Craigslist last year, but it isn't in the greatest shape. Which play kitchens would you recommend? TIA :).

I just got my girls the Step 2- Grand Walk In Kitchen for their birthday, and my girls LOVE it!! They seriously spend the majority of the day, everyday playing with it by themselves! I chose this one because its big enough for both of them to spread out and do their own thing without fighting over everything. So far, so good!! It also came with some food, pots and pans and utensils, and the microwave, phone and stove all make noises which they love.

Step 2 also has free shipping which was a plus!!

Step 2 just made a new one... The LifeStyle New Traditions Kitchen... you can google it. I think it looks much better than the others (not too fond of the tiny doors) so I might get that one. We'll see what gets on sale after Thanksgiving!

We have this wooden one from Little Tikes. It has held up well so far & they love playing with it!

How do you decide between wood and plastic? I'm so torn!

We also have the STep 2 walk-in and love it-- got it right after they turned 2 (xmas gift).

The only downside is that now that they are 4, they are tall---it is getting 'smaller' than a more traditional flat front one would since they have to duck to get under the arch.

We also debated a plastic vs wooden. THe resale on the plastic kitchens are GREAT---plus the walk-in style was 'untippable' which I really appreciated when the girls were younger (2-3 yrs).

We have the Grow with me kitchen. It wasn't the best choice for us. It is small and the girls rarely play with it.

I'm so jelous Kyrstyn, I wanted to get the Grand Walk in Kitchen for my girls but we're limited on space. :)

I got Step 2 PartyTIme last Christmas for my girls and they LOVE it! I would recommend any of the Step 2 Kitchens.
