I am planning ahead and would like to get a play kitchen set for Christmas. I don't have tons of room so it would be great if it was small, but I don't want them on top of each other either - so a medium size one would probably be best. Any thoughts? Where do you keep yours? I am thinking about putting it in their room (they share a bedroom for now), other than that it would be in our family room, which I'm not so thrilled about because that is pretty crowded already.

    Thanks, in advance.

We have the Step 2 Deluxe kitchen. They got it for Christmas last year, they play with it ALOT and it still looks great. We keep it in our family room and it does not take up a huge amount of space. Step 2 has a smaller one and a larger one and we love the medium one.

i *LOVE* the little blue wooden kitchen we got at target. It was less than $100, cute enough to use in a family room if we wanted to and blue (which i liked, since we have boys ;) ). the only think I wish we had done different was to mount it to a wall underneath the counter (where it wouldn't have been seen). It tipped easily and while noone ever got hurt and I doubt they ever would have been hurt by it, the poor kitchen took a beating before the boys figured out what they could and couldn't do with it.

We have this one from step 2:

It is the mid-size one with a smaller one as well as a couple larger ones in the same line. I loved the walk-in kitchen but it would take up way too much space, so I opted for one that sits flush against the wall.
