play kitchen comparison shopping

So I've been browing lots and lots of play kitchens online. There are some really, really cute things out there, but it's always worth doing some comparison shopping to check prices.

For example, there's this oven, and then there's this one.

Also, as long as we're on toy appliances, it's worth comparing this washing machine and this one.

Seriously, who spends this kind of money? :faint:

Isn't it amazing how much you could spend on kids toys? This is my personal favorite for expensive kids kitchens: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/gourmet-kitchen-collection/?pkey=x%7C4%7C1%7Cplayroom-kitchens%7C3%7Ckitchen%7C%7C0&cm_src=SCH

Total cost is over $1300, and it's way nicer than my real kitchen.

Ha! And note that the PB kitchen is also tucked nicely into a real kitchen maybe 4x the size of my own...

LOL! I'm with Trish -- I covet the PB Kids kitchens, although I love the retro pink one:

Clearly someone is buying them, right? I also want to know who buys those $25,000 "play" houses for their back yard, like these:

Some of them even come with electricity and running water.

My best friend growing up had one. It was ridiculous, but her parents bought it and we all used it until we were way too big to fit inside (like 14 years old!).

I also  the retro pink PB kitchen- and if it comes up on my local CL for like $20 I'm all over it :D (a girl can dream).

I was looking at the PB one in the catalog last week. I showed it to my husband who just about :faint: when he saw the prices.

I love the PB kids play stuff. I saw a PB kitchen on craigslist a few weeks ago for a fantastic price (still more than I wanted to spend), but it was so cute. I think I emailed the lady about 20 minutes after she posted it and she already had someone on her way over to look at it. I was so sad. If I ever win the lottery, I am going to go nuts at the PB kids store.

LOL That's funny cuz we priced out new cabinets for our kitchen and came up to about $1800. Hell I'd rather use the PB kitchen!! :)

Okay if it came with running water and electricity - we could charge rent to pay for it! LOL :) "Kids, I hate to tell you but you will have to hand over your weekly allowance for rent on your playhouse".... I can see it now!

That's what I was gonna say! The oven is about the same price as the one I have my eye on for the real kitchen.
