Play date...child has sinus infection and ear infection...cancel or go?

We are supposed to have a play date w/ a friend and her kids tomorrow and the youngest, 10 mos, has a fever (today), beginnings of an ear infection, and a sinus infection. He's starting antibiotics tonight but it won't be 24 hrs by the time we see them. SO, would you go or cancel for another day. I'm not really sure if he'd be contagious.

I'd probably go - ear infections aren't contagious.

 

I would base the decision more on how he is feeling than if it is contagious. If he's cranky, it might make the whole thing a bad time for all. You also might want to call the other mom and let her decide, depending on her level of comfort about her child being around an ear/sinus infection.

 

I would cancel ... But maybe that's because I'm just so done with sickness in my house right now after three weekends in a row of someone being very sick.

I would probably cancel and just say that I would want to do it when everyone was feeling good. I wouldn't stress the whole contagious thing.

I'd go. Wash there hands. Colds and ear infections don't worry me.
