pillow suggestions

I was wondering at what age you gave your kids pillows in their cribs and what kind of pillows do they have? I think they are ready to have them because I found Nicholas using this big Thomas stuffed animal as a pillow.

 

We bought pillows around that age, but they did not use them. They really started to use them once they slept in big kid beds.

 

Patrick is using a little one and Kevin is still not using one. I was going to look for one for Kevin by his birthday in June. Patrick inherited the one he has from his older brother's bed.

I put a regular bed pillow in the girls' cribs about a month or two ago and they have been using them for most naps and bedtime ever since. I had some laying around that we never used. I would look for the flatest, softest one you can find at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. in the regular bedding/pillow section.

I had purchased 'toddler pillows' from Pottery Barn Kids and hated them. They were more like a throw pillow and so overstuffed the girls fell right off of them everytime.

 

At about 1 1/2 they inherited my pillows off my bed after I bought new ones. They loved them and insisted on sleeping on pillows ever since.

 

We bought toddler pillows at Babies R Us around their 2nd birthday. They start off with them at night but usually end up not using them. My husband is nervous about letting them use full size pillows.

 

Mine are still using travel size pillows. We gave the pillows to them around age 2.

 

Mine started using pillows a few months ago, sometimes they sleep on them and sometimes they don't. I ordered the memory foam pillows from OneStepAhead.
