pictures

Up till now, we've always gotten pictures of our girls both together, and then seperately. They're a year now, and I'm just wondering, whenever you pictures (b-days, halloween, etc) do you ALWAYS get a seperate and together, or just a together one??

This is starting to get expensive!!!

 

It depends. For milestones like birthdays I do individuals. But for holiday's alot of the time I just get them together but occassionaly I do get individuals. Funny, looking back I see no rhyme or reason to how I choose!

 

I started to do individuals and separates at a year. I am going to do this for birthdays but if I get pics done for Christmas or Easter, I will do them together. I only buy pics for family of them together and buy individual shots for us and to keep for them for the future. Otherwise, you are SO right, it gets VERY pricey.

 

I always do all 4 of them together if we sit for a portrait. They always want to do separate shots, but most of the time I might let them shoot a pic of just the boys and one of just the girls, but not each separately. I certainly do take enough pictures of them individually myself. School-age kids get individual portraits made at school anyway, and I do buy those if they are nice enough. If I didn't follow them around with my camera all the time, I might feel differently.

But, no, I do not get pro portraits of each child individually.

 

It's so funny that you brought this subject up. We just had our girls one year photos taken this past Monday. I always think I'm going to be organized and know what shots I want, but by the time you get the 1 year old twins and my 3 1/2 year son changed into their dress clothes the level of stress is high. I have to say this time it went quite smoothly. We had really cute casual outfits on to begin with and told the photographer to take a few photos with all 3 kids together. Then we did individual photos of thegirls in the bathtub (sooo cute). We did that with our son when he turned one and we thought it would be cute to have the girls do it as well. We then had the girls in their party birthday dresses taken together and also individually. They now have the multiple portrait where one picture has them together and then individually. We do both together and separate whenever we have professional pictures done, but we don't do professional photos for holidays, etc. So far we've only done 6 months and 1 year. We plan to do 18 months, and then just every year after that. Probably at some point we'll stretch to every other year for professional photos.

 

Twins together for now. All the kids get individual pictures too. We get all the kids together once a year. We only get one copy of the picture of the twins together for us.

 

I usually only get pictures done for Birthdays. Im late with 2 year but going soon!

I also plan on getting one down together but also separate. I think they deserve their picture alone.
