Girls, Sorry I probably is asking stupid question but I read a lot about Peri for twins pregnancy and I my OB didn't mention anything to me about PERI.

I had my first OB appointment last week and OB told me how risky is twins pregnancy and etc... and he said that he didn't do the u/s and all of them woudl be done in Maternal Fetal Medicine department. and My next one is schedule on my 12w2d for NT scan.
he said that I will have the u/s at 12w, 16w, 20w, 23w, 26w and I think after that every 2 weeks but I might be wrong.
I already was in the MFM for my 7w2du/s to confirmed twins pregnancy and I spoke with one of the Dr. there she said I might have septum uterus. but it woudl be confirmed at 12wu/s

My OB didn't mention anything about peri for me. Does the Peri si th Dr who guid you through all pregnancy? Or it's just the any Doctor during your u/s in the hospital?
How does it work out with Peri? Please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

MFM and a peri are the same thing, so it sounds like you're in good hands!

yeah, MFM and peri are the same - I saw my regular OB and a peri from 12 weeks until the end. we rotated so in the beginning I saw a doctor every 2 weeks - but the peri once a month and the OB once a month. At 30 weeks the peri found that Addison had not grown since our last visit and had low fluid so at that point I went on bedrest and saw a doctor twice a week - the peri on Monday and OB on Thursdays. My OB did a quick ultrasound at every visit just to check heartbeats , he did NSTs in the end and he actually delivered. The peri did high resolution ultrasounds and biophysical profiles he also did the nucheal fold testing for downs syndrome. The peri also did a 3D and 4D ultrasound which was neat!! OH and the peri is the one who told us that baby A was a girl at just 14 weeks!

    CONGRATULATIONS on your babies!!

I did not have a peri. I only saw the OB. However, I did not find out it was twins until 20 weeks and I had a relatively healthy twin pregnancy without problems. I just had more ultrasounds and NSTs than with a singleton.

I've been seeing MFM since 19 weeks. In the beginning it was the same as pp said, Once a month to each, which worked out to be once every 2 weeks. We are now high risk and I see my OB twice a week and MFM every 2 weeks.

I was about to say, MFM and Peri are the same person.

While I went and had detailed ultrasounds at a specialized office each month, I never met the Doctor. She apparently reviewed my ultrasound results and faxed them to my OB.
