peri and ob appt up date 22 weeks

at the peri appt every thing is going great ..... baby's r growing normally they r now about 1 pound each ...... and have a good amount of fluid around them ..... and both heads were down

the day after went to see the ob both girls heart reates were normal, ones head was up and the other was down ,and my b/p was on the high sode and ive gained 10 pounds in 1 month .... is that normal??

so now i have put myself on a low sodium diet to keep the b/p down

and in two weeks i do my 1hr glucose test how does that go ??? what does the drink taste like ??

 

Sounds like the babies are doing great! Sorry to hear about the bp but hopefully it won't be a problem. Sorry, I can't help in regards to the weight, I was definitely not normal in terms of weight gain. I will say that above anything you should concentrate on the growth of the babies and if that is consistant I wouldn't stress about your weight gain. I think there are a couple different versions of the drink for the GD test, one similar to a sugary coke and one similar to a sugary orange drink. I had the orange.

 

Try to get the orange drink if you can. I think it is so much better than the "coke" version.

I gained 10 pounds in one month too. It that normal? I don't know...I just try not to think about it. My little ones are growing well and that is all I care about.

I may feel differently after my next weight check.

 

I had the orange drink, it takes like super sweet orange soda, see if you can drink it out of a cup instead of the bottle. I didn't find it bad at all.

 

I had the orange drink for the 1 hour & then the cola for the 3 hour. This time around it was fruit punch flavored. I liked this one better. On a side note- my sister had jelly beans for her test.
