I have twin 8 (soon to be 9) year old girls. I'm trying to find pen pals for them, so they can practice their letter writing. Is anyone here interested in being pen pals, or know of a reputable site to look for pen pals?
Love that idea! The art of letter writing is being lost these days. Lila is only 6 so she is probably a bit young yet. I bet there will be someone here with similar age girls who are willing!
I was *just* looking online for pencil-paper pen pals for my girls! My two are 7.5 and going into 3rd grade next Fall. They love to write! PM if you want to try pen pals!
I like this idea for my boys too! I don't know how they'd feel about writing to girls, though. They are starting on that 'girls are icky' phase. :laughing:
I asked them and yup, no girls for them! "A GIRL????@@!! But what if she thinks we like LIKE her??" :laughing: But if anyone has 8/9 year old boys interested in pen pals....
I think this is a great idea! I wish my two were a little older because I would definitely like to get them involved in having a pen pal!
My boys are 8. Depending on how often, they would probably be interested. If it was every other week or so I think it would be great. Or even once a month? -Kimberly
