Don't know if this has been posted about, I just don't have the energy to search. I try not to whine, I try not to complain. I love carrying these two babies and I feel guilty as can be when I complain about the discomfort and pain but these last few days have just been unreal.

I feel like I have been hit repeatedly in the crotch area. I am guessing it is from my pelvic bone...I don't know. It hurts to walk. It hurt to roll over in bed. It hurts to lift my legs to get dressed, to wash my legs...basically any move I make, it hurts between my legs. It feels bruised on the inside I guess is the best way to explain it.

Is there anything I can do? I see my OB on Wed. But I know when I was there last time I was asking him about the swelling I was having down there, and he said there was nothing that could really be done, it was from the pressure of the babies. I am guessing I will get the same answer.

I hate being a wimp. I hate crying over being in pain, not sleeping well and so on. I know so many have it much worse. And I know I am very lucky to be carrying two little babies inside of me. Just wondering how to make it so the next twelve weeks are pure h*ll.

I have this problem too. It kind of happened all of a sudden around 30 or 31 weeks. I talked to my doctor about it, and he told me it was SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) and that a lot of women get it with pregnancy. He recommended a brace (which was expensive, so I got the prenatal cradle). I also use heating pads and tylenol which helps a little. He told me nothing could really be done about it otherwise (just delivery). I am sorry that you are in pain. I hope you feel better soon.

I have a belly support thingy. So uncomfortable. I hate it. I feel it makes things worse. I was thinking about a heating pad, but wasn't sure if that was safe. How long can you have the heating pad on for?

I have felt you pain! Mine started at about 16 weeks, and I mentioned it at EVERY appointment until I delivered at 37 weeks 5 days. The last week of my pregnancy I was completely unable to lay down... it made sleep a distant memory! Anyway, as the pp stated The Prenatal Cradle made it possible for me to have some relief. I neverdid the heating pad thing or tylenol although they okayed it... My OB did send me to an Ostiopathic Dr, but it really didn't help. Others have said a chiropractor using the wilson techniqe helped them...

I can tell you that my abies are now 2 months old,and birth was a definate relief... I still have the pain, but it is only about as bad as it was at the beginning. I now see an Osteopathic Dr (not the same one) and I do think it is improving. Sorry I can't be more reasurring, but that has been my experience so far.

Do you have a Prenatal Cradle or a maternity support belt? I found the belt did make things worse... The Prenatal Cradle did help though.

Sorry you are in pain. You are not being a wimp, it is hard carrying these babies. I have had this on and off for a little while and it has just started getting more frequent. I had planned to ask my OB tomorrow, and get a script for the cradle. I hope you feel better or can at least get some relief soon. :hug99:

Yep, I had this pain along with sciatic. The dr.s response was..you're pregnant with twins.

The pain disappeared at delivery. I know it's hard- believe me, I know! Just rest as much as possible. I know it hurts to lay down and it's excruciating to move around in bed but try and get into any position you can and just rest.

The only thing that helped me was a nice warm bath but the relief was very temporary. It hurt like heck getting in and out of the tub too. I had to have dh basically pick me up. It was ridiculous.

Unfortunately I've been suffering with this too for at least 4 weeks now. Don't know what can be done for it. i just make sure I sit down when putting on pants ex. and do things slowly. I've been going to massage and chiropractor which seems to help everything a little. Sorry your in pain, try to hang in there, we are all here for you to vent if you need to, I know I do my share.

I don't know exactly. I don't put it on for more than 10 minutes at a time or so (and I usually make it warm not hot). I am worried about doing something to the babies by making them too hot. My doctor never told me how long I could do the heating pad for...
