Has anyone ever used one of these for their babies? Due to the fact you are no longer supposed to give kiddos under 6 OTC cold meds, I found these for my girls (6months, 5 months adjusted age). My little Lauren has a cold. I suctioned her nose and elevated her bed. This evening I decided to use the plug-in. I didn't see any warnings about not closing the door. I also didn't see anything that could effect Ashley (she doesn't have a stuffy nose, but they share a room). Any insight or suggestions????

    Thanks!

I have used them in the past. I always leave the door cracked open, and both babies in there. I don't think it can do any harm! Hope they feel better soon!!

That reminds me, I was looking for stuff for my nuggets a few months ago, when they each had colds, and in the baby meds part there was a Vick's rub ... but then if you read the package, it said not to use on kids. Then WHY did they place it right by the baby stuff? Some unassuming mom could just grab it and who knows what!

I used the PediaSure things in thier room, I think it helped and I kept the door open, but at that time I always did. I think you could shut it and they'd be fine.

I don't have a fancy vapourizer with a night light or any kind of medicinal stuff, but I have a warm mist vapourizer/humidifer that I got for $15 at the drug store and it works like a charm on my babies' stuffy noses. I use it at night and for naps. I keep the door closed (not tightly shut, but closed) so that the warm, moist air stays in their room.

I use them as well. I think they help. I usually "plug" them in while we are doing baths and then the room has that nice menthol smell by the time they go to bed. I dont usually leave the door cracked. I think it defeats the purpose but that is just me.

I've used them forever. First the Sudacare Children's Plugs (but I don't think they sell them anymore), so now the PediaCare ... I only hate that annoying blue light!? Who needs that? I close the door, agree with Rachel on that. I like them and I think they work fairly well. I noticed there is also something new (I saw an ad in Parents magazine).

This works with a battery, so I plan on getting that (especially since we go back to Europe and the plugs won't work; I've never seen something like this back home).

I saw this as well when I wanted to use Vicks on the babies; but our pedi says it is okay to use at bedtime. I love the little plug-in vaporizers as well...I have 1 w/ a stuffy nose & 1 w/out..both sleep in the same room too, I don't think there is any harm done to either one of 'em...

Have one and LOVE IT. It really helps them (along w/the humidifier) sleep better at night.

Sofiesmom - I have seen the SudaCare one that you are talking about recently...just don't remember where...maybe the grocery store.
