L&D will be one Feb 7, and we are throwing a red themed party on the 5th. (They even have little red dresses to wear!)

I'm having trouble coming up with red foods to serve. We're having a sandwich bar since the party is around lunch. I also decided to do tomato with mozzarella as an appetizer. Any other red food ideas?

    This is making me hungry!

    What about:
    stuffed mini red bell peppers
    Little meatballs with tomato sauce
Carrot soup (you can add more tomato to make it red)
    Red velvet cake or cupcakes
Red grapes, raspberries, strawberry mixed fruit parfait

Happy Birthday to the little ones!!

How about bruschetta and bread or toast? You can make your own, or buy it - I know our Costco here sells it premade, but it's also easy to make. Basically just chopped tomatoes, a little olive oil, and some seasonings.

Red velvet cupcakes (Hummingbird has a great recipe!) or a regular cake coated with red sugarpaste or buttercream...

Honestly, Red Velvet cake hadn't even crossed my mind. I'm making a white cake with red "funfetti" for the girls, and I'm ordering the rest-of-the-party cake (white cream cake with raspberries in the middle). But maybe red velvet for the rest of the guests is a good idea.

Bruschetta sounds wonderful! I love it, and I think our Costco has some premade as well.

This is making me hungry, but keep 'em coming!! :thanks:

Spaghetti salad or a pasta salad - I've seen tricolor pasta, I bet you can do it with red
red punch (I do 1/2 Hawaiian punch, 1/2 Sprite and a tub of raspberry sherbert)
    red m&m's
fruit salad with all red berries, red grapes
    red jello
it would be pink, but you could do strawberry bagels with strawberry cream cheese
a fruit/veggie tray with tomatoes, red pepper, radish, red apples, berries. You can add dips like caramel, roasted red pepper hummus, ranch, etc.
maybe a coleslaw or salad with red cabbage?
    tomato soup
rice pilaf (maybe this is more orangey?)

I was going to suggest red velvet cupcakes or cake as well.
