Victoria is a bad sleeper to start off with. Athena sleeps 12 hours a night and her daytime nap is about 3 hours. Victoria on the other hand, naps for about 40 min. and at night she wakes up eery 20 minutes. hardly sleeps for two hours straight. Al this since she started teething. I am at my wits end as last night i hardly had any sleep, well this whole weekend i slept very little. My neighbour who is a nurse at the hospital, suggested i give her some paracetemol just before she goes to bed, so that she gets some decent sleep. .
I am not sure i like that idea but victoria really needs to sleep more.
What would the other moms do?

I am not sure what that is, but I would definitely talk to the pedi before giving her anything to sleep. Have you tried CIO with her? I have never been a huge fan but my DD is the same way as your daughter so this week I have put in place CIO, it seems to be helping....well before we all got sick!

Paracetamol is acetaminophen in the US. (basically Tylenol) and I don't think you should do it.

Acetominaphen (totally butchered that spelling...it's early!) doesn't induce sleep. It's a pain reliever. If you think she is having trouble sleeping because of teething pain, then yes I'd give it to her but check with the ped for the right dosage. We started using ibuprofen after 6mos old because it works longer. Again, check with the ped for how much to give. If you think she's waking so often out of habit, I agree with trying CIO once everyone is healthy again.

I would call the kids' doctor for the appropriate dose and give her ibuprofin for teething pain. It sounds like she has developed a habit of waking... so I would try CIO too.

Good luck. Sleeping issues are difficult because we also are in desperate need of sleep.

Hadas recently got two of her two-year molars... that threw her sleep routine to the wind for a while.

If that is Tylenol, and she is teething, I think it's ok to give. But, as far as getting her to sleep through, which it doesn't sound like she has ever done, I recommend CIO.

Like the PP's said, only if she's teething and seems to be in pain....
