Parenting twin toddlers is like Survivor

I had a revelation this morning. You see, yesterday I turned the dining table chairs on their sides, using a trick I learned on here. I thought it was a totally smart idea. Now, they can't climb up on the table! Except, it turns out, chairs on their sides are way more fun to climb on than chairs sitting upright. This morning, I took the chairs away. I'll just pull them out of the office when I need them. It's just not worth the whining and climbing to keep them at the table.

And so I realized that I was playing my own game of Survivor. How can I "Outsmart, Outplay, Outlast" twin toddlers?

Anyone else feel this way too?

 

lol! yes! just when i think i've outsmarted them and i'm "ahead in the game", they find another way!

 

Hee. In my own experience it's more like American Gladiator where the twins are the Gladiators. For example, you have to compete with the Gladiators to get the laundry folded before they come to "help" by thowing the clean clothes on the floor or mixing dirty clothes in with the clean ones.

 

Except you don't get to vote them off when they team up and turn on you.

Oh yes, my DS is a gladiator in training too. I do the same thing with laundry!
