Gotta LOVE Sears! Before my boys out grew the little boys section I would buy the Toughskin jeans and register them with the Kids advanage club. If a zipper broke, button fell off or hole in knee I would just take them back. No money back but they give you same brand and size no charge. Thanks to the school building a new gym and putting carpet in it we buy pants alll the time.....

Where are you buying the pants at? Are they wearing them all the time? Pants and jeans for both my two last all season long.

Ours too .. and then I hand them down to my grandson !

We usually go to Childrens Place or Target.

Jessy will not wear jeans. Only pants with elastic. Most have been from the end of last year but today's was a this season pair from target. I had a pair of jeggings get at hole from childrens place even. They only had them for 1 month.

Your kids must be doing a lot of crawling. I remember my sister and I would crawl around the carpet all the time (and we must have been pretty old, if I remember it!) and my mom was always on us about getting holes in the knees of our pants.

We actually hardly ever have that problem. Both my kids will only wear stretchy pants or tights, and nearly all of them are Hanna Andersson or Gymboree (bought used or hand-me-downs). They seem to be able to go through multiple kids without getting holes -- and when they do start to go, it's usually the seams in the crotch and butt that go first.

We have the same issue with knit pajama bottoms and it's absolutely because I let the kids play in them on weekend mornings and they are constantly crawling around pushing cars or playing with toys on their knees. Have you tried the elastic-waist khakis or jeans on her? I've found them at JCPenney in their Okie Dokie line.

You could try iron-on patches on the inside of the pants, at the knee.

She won't wear anything heavier than knit. The jeggings have been great because they at least look like regular jeans. They are wearing velour jogging pants okay but only when it's really cold. The last pair they went thru were a heavier pair of knit pants

You can still patch the 'inside' of them. I have done it to our lighter knit pants to make them last longer....mine get holes in them as well, also tights. We are forever replacing holey tights!!

They sell cute patches at Jo Anns and other crafty stores. You could iron them on over anything that get a hole. (I have seen hearts, peace signs, flowers, etc).

You could also try leg warmers to protect pants...when ,mine are crawling way more than usual, we try to get them to wear leg warmers (like FANCY NANCY!!!) and sometimes they will, they are so cute (we pull them up to past knees).
