Now that autumn is approaching (woo hoo!!!), do you get long-sleeved/long-pants pjs or do you get the ones with short-sleeves/long-pants? Keep in mind, I live in New England. I know this is a ridiculous question, I just don't know which ones to get for the cooler weather. Last year, I don't remember, but I do remember getting the warm footie pjs for winter. Any advice would be great. I've seen both on sale but haven't bought any because I'm not sure which way to go. I'm leaning toward long/long.

Personally I would get long pants and long sleeves.

I just bought snugabyes at our BJ store. They also sell them at K-mart. They are these pajamas that have long pants, but you can either roll up the feet, or cover the feet. The pajamas came with a short sleeve t-shirt like thing and a bonus with shorts too. (Very good deal) We are wearing the shorts now, it is still very hot in Maryland. Soon we will switch the the pants, then when it gets much colder we can cover their little feet by unrolling the pants.

I use blanket sleepers. Its gets super cold here and I feel more comfortable knowing they don't need a blanket to cover up with, besides they would kick it off anyway. I actually just bought 4 sleepers for each girl today. :) Major fall/winter shopping spree.

This fall mine will wear the long sleeved/long pants cotton PJs. As it gets colder they will wear the long pants/long sleeved fleece ones.

We bought the long sleeved long shirt ones. They come in an outfit set at walmart with all cute designs on them.

I do long sleeve/long pants. I also buy the short sleeve white Hanes t-shirts. I use the long pants with the short sleeve t-shirt until it gets cooler then I switch to the long/long and then when it gets really cold I do the blanket sleepers. I continue to use the t-shirts under their regular clothes and under pajamas on super cold nights during the winter.

    Hope that helps.

I would get the long sleeve long pants for the fall. If there is ever a night that is on the warmer side and you think that the long shirts would be too much pair up the long pants with whatever t-shirts or short sleeve pj tops that you have.

We use fleece footie PJs all year round, unless it's really hot. If it's so hot that we can't cool the house off enough at night, we put them in short-sleeved onesies under their sleep sacks. They don't sleep under their blankets, so I would definitely want them in long sleeves in the winter, otherwise their arms are totally bare.

We LOVE the Snugabyes. My sister bought the boys a pair for Xmas after falling in love with them for her daughter. We don't have BJs here and the closest Kmart is like 40+miles away, so I was thrilled to happen upon a 2-pk at Ross the other day for $10!

To answer your question, we live in Seattle where the temperature fluctuates all of 20 degress year-round and we still wear long-long in the fall and spring. I just can't bear to put them to bed in shorts/tshirt b/c they don't have blankets and they can't pull on some covers at 3am when they get a chill like I can. They do have small, homemade taggie blankets, but they use them as pillows.

One of my boys wears short sleeves with pants, and the other long sleeves with pants. I usually have both kinds on hand. One of my boys sleeps really hot (like his dad!) so he doesn't like the long sleeves.

I saw the snugabyes but didn't like that they came with shorts. I really like the two pair of pants/two shirts sets. More bang for your buck, which is my real concern. Thanks for all your thoughts. I'll be getting the long/long.

We do long/long (they have some pjs from Target that have shorts/pants and 2 short sleeve shirts). We have actually had a few nights lately where they are wearing the long sleeve ones! Once winter hits, we go with the fleece.

We have dual A/C so we keep just the upstair cold for sleeping so they wear footies year round. Sometimes if its super hot we'll do the pants and long sleeves. I guess it all depends on the temp in your house.
