I had some great long sleeve footed pjs with zippers that I loved. Since we use our a/c I was using them as we got into summer with the girls. They have since grown out of them and I have transitioned to two piece sets - pants and short sleeve shirt. I have been having them go bare footed at night. So far they don't seem like they are cold when they wake up but I keep thinking of myself a person who crawls under the covers when a/c is on at night. At night our thermostat is set to 71ish and the girls are upstairs where it tends to be warmer anyways. I am tempted to start having them wear socks but was just curious what everyone else's babies sleep in. I think we are moving away from the footed pjs but know it is too early for them to be sleeping with any type of blankets.

I wondered the same thing about what to put my girls in at night! It's SO HOT here, but we keep the house pretty cool so that I sleep under a light blanket. I put my girls in a thin onesie to sleep, but then I put them in the light cotton sleep sacs. That way as soon as they wake up and are going to be moving around I remove the sleep sack and they're just in the onesie, just like I only wear light shorts and a t-shirt around the house.

Last summer my girls slept in onesies with cotton sleep sacks with the AC on. But one DD runs hot all the time (I call her my "Sweaty Betty!") so I ended up just putting her in onesies to sleep. This summer they sleep in two piece shorts/light weight pants and tee's.

We live in a very warm climate but we have the AC on all the time. During the summer they do not wear socks. If it gets chilly in the winter I put them in footed pjs.

i put socks on them  my mom keeps saying, "don't let their feet or legs get cold..." so i'm paranoid. i wear socks to bed (weird habit, i know), and sleep under the covers (tho it gets hot in teh middle of the night, but their door stays closed, so their room stays a little cooler than ours). they pull their socks off themselves in the morning when they wake up :D

I don't put socks on them now, but did when they were under a year, and wouldn't keep a blanket on.

my kids seem to hate anything on their feet. they've never really even worn footed sleepers because i would never want to wear something so constricting! so i wasn't going to make my child wear them. they have slept in pj sets or onesies since the day they were born, and they are totally fine. their room is the coldest in the house, too. i do check at about midnight to make sure their blankies are still over them though....

i don't think you need to put socks, if it's not bothering them than i wouldn't trip.

We have the same issue. The fleece sleepers are too heavy but all the light weight ones are footless. I tried socks but they hate things on their feet and end up pulling them off and sucking on them. Of course the lightweight sleep sacks we have are sleeveless so that posses a problem as well...ugh!

I put socks on mine when they aren't in footed sleepers. Funny story...We had to stop wearing 2 piece jammies on Daniel. We knew he could take his socks but one night I found him without his pants on. He just gets too cold so he's back in footed sleepers for now!

I put socks on only when it was cold out or if I notice their feet seem cold. They wear onsies in the summertime.

Mine wore footed PJ's the first year - warm when it was cold and nice light ones when it was hot.

I would go ahead & use socks if I didn't have blankets. My kids slept with blankets from birth.

We do longsleeve onesies with the lightweight sleepsacks or footed pjs. We keep the house pretty cool and I just figure if I need a blanket, then they need to be covered too. Socks would never work - they pull them off immediately. If I do two piece sets the shirt just ends up around their underarms - I have two squirmy boys.
